General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there are three reasons why Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is getting exactly what she deserves. The Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) mistreatment stops now, so let’s talk about Willow’s downfall and why it’s a long time coming.

1) Willow threw her devoted husband and happy family away

For starters, Willow deserves to go down for throwing away her loyal hubby and the blissful family they built together.

It’s true that secrets sometimes came between Willow and Michael during their marriage, but Michael’s heart was always in the right place.

Michael is certainly a better man than Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who constantly manipulates and deceives Willow for personal gain.

Since Willow gave into her lust for Drew and eventually let herself fully fall for him, she deserves the pain that’s headed her way now.

From using Michael’s medical proxy as a bargaining chip to signing legal papers naming Drew the kids’ guardian if anything happened to her, Willow has proven that she can’t be trusted.

2) Willow ignored all the naysayers and Drew warning signs

It’s true that Willow’s cult background presumably makes her more vulnerable to Drew’s manipulation, but she’s still a grown woman who’s capable of making her own decisions.

Drew is an awful person, but Willow is almost as bad for ignoring all the naysayers and warning signs.

Although Willow doesn’t know all the twisted things Drew’s done, that’s partly because she’s burying her head in the sand and refusing to see that he’s trouble.

In a custody feud discussion, Drew went as far as suggesting they could paint Michael as an absentee father who abandoned his children.

This is a burn victim who’s been recovering at a clinic and doing everything he can to get back home!

It’s great news that Michael has finally returned to take control of the situation and put Willow in her place.

Willow is letting Drew pull the wool over her eyes, so it’s time for Michael to step up and do what needs to be done.

3) Willow’s comeuppance gives the Michael recast a chance to shine

Another reason Willow’s getting her comeuppance involves Rory Gibson’s recent debut in the role of Michael Corinthos.

Getting fans to accept new actors can sometimes be tough, so it was smart for GH writers to have Michael make such an explosive, vengeful comeback.

Many viewers are on Michael’s side when it comes to the custody fight and his desire for revenge, so that’s no doubt helping Gibson as he settles in.

This is giving Gibson a chance to shine right off the bat, so we’re all for Willow and Drew’s takedown.
