Lucas Adams Joins Y&R as Noah Newman – A shocking new story is revealed
Y&R has cast Lucas Adams, a former DOOL star, as Noah Newman, who will debut this fall. This role, previously played by Rory Gibson, has deep ties to the Newman family.
Adams aims to bring fresh energy to this legacy character, raising intrigue about his return.

In a casting twist that’s sure to get fans buzzing, The Young and the Restless has tapped Days of our Lives alum Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp) to step into the role of Noah Newman.
The news, first reported by TV Insider, comes just a week after Y&R confirmed Tamara Braun and Roger Howarth were joining the Genoa City canvas.
Adams will begin airing this fall, bringing fresh energy to a legacy character with deep ties to the Newman family.
Noah Newman Comes Home
Noah is the son of Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow), first introduced on-screen in 1997. Most recently, Rory Gibson portrayed him from 2021 to 2023 before moving over to General Hospital as Michael Corinthos.
Prior to Gibson, the role was anchored by Robert Adamson (2012–18, 2020) and Luke Kleintank (2010–11), with a series of child actors in the earlier years. Now, Adams takes the baton to reintroduce Sharon and Nick’s son to viewers after a noticeable absence.
From Wesley to Noah
Interestingly, this isn’t Adams’s first time in Genoa City. Back in 2012, he made his television speaking debut on Y&R in a one-day guest role as Wesley, a fan of Diana DeGarmo’s Angelina.
That moment launched a career that has since spanned Disney Channel stardom on Liv and Maddie, primetime credits, and award-nominated daytime work.
Emmy Nod DAYS to Y&R Future
Adams is best known to soap fans for his run on Days of our Lives as Tripp Johnson, son of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
He joined in 2017, earning two Daytime Emmy nominations as Outstanding Younger Actor. After several exits and returns — including stints on the streaming spinoff Beyond Salem — Tripp last appeared in April 2024, leaving for Hong Kong with Wendy (Victoria Grace).
Now, Adams reconnects with both Braun and his former Days co-star Billy Flynn (Chad), who recently joined Y&R as Cane.
With Noah’s return, questions swirl about what brings him back to Genoa City and how his presence could shake up Sharon, Nick, and the Newman clan. One thing’s certain: fans will be eager to see how Adams makes the role his own.
