The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, September 2, reveals that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will make a risky move for Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) sake while Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) rejects Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) ring.
Despite Kyle’s attempt to pull out all the stops and convince Claire to put the past behind them, she won’t respond well to his popped question.
It looks like Claire will refuse to accept Kyle’s ring and shut down his marriage plans.
This will prove to Claire that Kyle isn’t really paying attention to her needs in this relationship.
Claire wanted to take baby steps toward rebuilding trust – not jump into holy matrimony!
Instead of making progress with Claire, Y&R spoilers say Kyle’s going to face a setback instead.
It’ll leave Kyle down in the dumps, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will have advice for him soon.
In the meantime, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will play hardball with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) as they negotiate the terms of their alliance.
Cane will be forced to go along with Victor’s plans against Jabot, but he’ll secretly scheme against Victor and everyone else in Genoa City.
Amanda knows Cane’s grand takeover scheme is still intact, so she may blab to Phyllis on Tuesday’s show.
Phyllis is losing her mind over Cane not moving ahead with his plot, so this may be the only way to calm her down.
Cane told Phyllis and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that he was scrapping the plan, but he just wants the key players in town to drop their guard.
It’s clear that Cane is still up to no good, so Amanda may betray Cane by leaking the news to Phyllis too soon.
Phyllis is a wildcard who tends to make a mess of things, so Amanda may warn her not to blow this.
Amanda could be taking a gamble by giving Phyllis updates, so she may urge Phyllis not to make her regret it!
