Will Cane Heed Colin’s Advice on Young and the Restless?
Cane thought about Colin’s dying moments. His final words sent a chill down Cane’s spine and reminded him of who he should be. But will Cane follow Colin’s advice on The Young and the Restless, or will he go back to his ruthless ways?
Tristan Rogers Tribute
On Tuesday, August 26, Y&R paid tribute to the late soap veteran. Rogers made his final appearance as Cane’s (Billy Flynn) father. Cane drank from a bottle of whiskey as he thought about his father’s dying moments. He then picked up the will and re-read it.
With an exasperated breath, Cane picked up his phone and recorded a video. He explained to his kids what led him to create the Aristole Dumas identity that he now relates to. Cane was disappointed with his life, and he didn’t want that for his children. So, he was determined to build an empire that would make them proud.
Colin’s Final Words
Cane finally revealed all and sent the video to his children. Once again, he thought back to his father, lying in bed. Cane told Colin that he needed to stay alive a little longer to see the zeroes in his bank account. But his father didn’t want to discuss business. There was no time left, as he was dying.
Colin reminded Cane that Aristotle Dumas is not a person. It’s not his son’s identity, it’s just a name. He reminded his son not to forget who Cane Ashby is. Cane promised his father that he wouldn’t take it too far.
This prompted Cane to tell Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) that the plan is off. But will he go back on his word? He might have a moment of weakness, which could lead him back to scheming and planning in no time.
