Carter (Vincent Stalba) has been a top-notch assistant for Cane (Billy Flynn). Aside from taking care of business matters, Carter’s devotion to his job goes much deeper. As seen on the latest episodes, Carter is willing to commit murder to make Cane happy.
Viewers assumed Carter was responsible for the murders, but his reason left many confused. His commitment to Cane goes above and beyond, so could it be because they have a special connection?
On Reddit, a Y&R fan theory suggests that Carter could be Cane’s son, Sam.
“He’s Sam all SORASed up. That’s why he would do anything for Mr. Dumas,” one user wrote.
While it’s an intriguing theory, most fans don’t believe it.
“Carter looks too old to be Cane’s son. Cane looks too young to be Carter’s father. I had forgotten about Sam,” one fan wrote.
“That would be the SORASing to end all SORASing. It would mean that Sam is older than the twins, somehow disappeared and fell into poverty a few years ago, Cane found him but is hiding his identity,” one viewer replied.
Carter being Sam seems far-fetched, but on Y&R, anything is possible. There’s been lots of questions about Sam since Cane’s return. Many fans have been wondering if Sam will return, or will the writers pretend he doesn’t exist?
If Sam is still out there, maybe he’ll pop up again one day. Or has he already returned and nobody knows it?
