What Happened to Colin Atkinson on Y&R?

Who Was Colin Atkinson on The Young and The Restless?

Who Was Colin Atkinson?

Tristan Rogers originated the role of Colin Atkinson on Y&R. He made his debut in 2010 and spent a few years in Genoa City.

Colin was a master manipulator and con artist. (Like father, like son.) Colin was in a relationship with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), whom he wooed and tricked.

He also reunited with his ex-wife, Genevieve (Genie Francis). Colin committed insurance fraud after he blackmailed Devon (Bryton James).

He quickly built up a long rap sheet. Colin even meddled in Cane’s (ex Daniel Goddard) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) marriage by kidnapping their twins. He also sexually harassed Esther (Kate Linder). Needless to say, he wasn’t a good man. Colin was one of those villains we don’t want back.

In November 2019, Rogers returned to the soap, but he only filmed three episodes. Colin hasn’t been seen since, especially since Cane left that same year.

The new and improved Cane (now Billy Flynn) shared an update about his father. Genoa City can breathe easy after this update.

Young & Restless: What Happened to Colin Atkinson? Fate Revealed

What Happened to Cane’s Father?

On the Monday, June 23 episode of Y&R, Cane spoke to Victor (Eric Braeden) about his past. He shared that his father died six months ago, in December 2024.

Colin had a new perspective on his life once he was struck by illness. It even changed his relationship with his son.

Cane had claimed that his father’s death impacted his life. Does this mean that he will live his life differently in Genoa City? Cane expressed an interest in returning to town.

He’s no longer hiding in the French Riviera. Cane will return at some point. What could this mean for his future with Lily?
