The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Mariah’s Ian Hallucination Drove Her To Kill?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers show that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) encountered a Stranger (Michael Swan) that resembled evil Ian Ward (Ray Wise) while she was out of town. Then all heck broke loose, according to shell-shocked Mariah.

We are one step closer to learning what went down that night with Mariah having remembered a key scene last week.

Did this drive her over the edge and cause her to do something criminal and immoral? She sure is acting like it! Let’s take a deep dive into the mystery that is slowly unraveling!

Mariah Did a No-No

Up to this point Mariah has admitted to doing something awful while she was on a business trip for Cassidy First. At some point Ian’s name entered the picture and last week we saw a flashback in which a scary looking old man told her she looked like she could use a friend.

At that point it became clear that Mariah did not cheat, which is what we all had been led to believe based on her wacky behavior toward her wife Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbank).

Instead of committing garden variety adultery, Mariah confessed that if that was all it was, she would have copped to it in a heartbeat. Instead, what Mariah did is far, far worse. Oy vey all day.

What Did a Broken Mariah Do?

Poor Mariah is struggling to comprehend why she did whatever it is she did. It’s almost like she disassociated and was in some sort of trance.

In the June 9 episode fans will see another flashback of Mariah drinking with the Stranger and taking his hand, possibly giving him the notion that she was interested in him.

Last week we also found out that Mariah is afraid to spill the beans to her mom Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and wife Tessa because she feels a need to protect them. Protect them from what, is the million-dollar question.

Did Mariah Kill Someone?

At this point the situation has taken a dark turn. Did the Stranger think he was going to get lucky with drunk Mariah? Truth be told he looks as geriatric as they get. But this is what we have to work with.

We can’t count out the possibility that Mariah drunkenly went to this man’s room for more drinks and things got out of hand.

Did the man come on to Mariah and she hallucinated that he was Ian? If indeed she thought that Ian was pushing her to have sex, she would have done something drastic.

Is Ray Wise Back as Ian Ward?

She would have fought the man, and he looked frail enough to break like a crusty pretzel. It could be that Mariah fled, or someone helped her to cover up a crime scene. It’s also possible that Mariah imagined the encounter and/or imagined harming the Stranger.
