The Young and the Restless Update: Amanda Keeps Dumas & Phyllis Apart
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, May 19, reveals that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will help keep Aristotle Dumas and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) apart while Devon Winters (Bryton James) asks a critical question.
At Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) apartment, he’ll continue his meeting with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Winters (Bryton James).
That’ll give Devon a chance to voice more concerns now that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has become a strange addition to this Dumas mess.
After Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) return from sharing a meal, Lily will talk to Damian about his job and plan to send the contract info for his lawyers to look over.
Devon will pipe up about Amanda Sinclair and ask if Damian knows who that is, but Damian won’t recall hearing her name.
However, Devon will seem skeptical over whether Damian’s telling the truth and will privately speak with Lily about whether Nate’s half-brother can be trusted.
Lily will defend Damian, but she’ll get on his bad side later with a joke about how she’s “getting there” on trusting him.
Damian will wonder what more he has to do to prove himself, so it’ll seem like he’s overreacting a bit until Lily smooths things over.
As for Nate, he’ll look uneasy as he watches Lily and Damian chat from across the room.
At the athletic club, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will complain when it becomes clear that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is only half-listening to everything she says.
Sally will guess that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) got inside Billy’s head and stirred up some guilt over the whole Phyllis situation.
Although Sally will worry Billy might eventually rehire Phyllis, he’ll insist he’s all in on running things with Sally.
At Society, Phyllis will act like her entire future is riding on meeting with Dumas and getting him to fund her new venture.
Amanda will confess that she’s Dumas’ lawyer and that she already spoke to him about the possibility of financially backing Phyllis.
Since Amanda assumed that’s what Phyllis wanted, she’ll insist she tried to sing Phyllis’ praises.
Unfortunately, Dumas passed since he’s prioritizing other opportunities, so Amanda won’t think Phyllis can change his mind.
Phyllis won’t have a real plan for what she wants to do anyway, so Amanda will try to convince her to let this go.
The discussion will shift to Chancellor along with Phyllis’ info that could help Dumas go after it.
Nevertheless, Amanda will stand her ground on Phyllis needing to just move on.
Back at the GCAC, Amanda will bump into Billy and Sally.
The resulting conversation will be a frosty one since Amanda will recognize Sally as the woman who teamed up with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to go after Phyllis’ daughter.
Amanda will admit she’s serving as Aristotle Dumas’ legal counsel, so Billy will point out that his Dumas meetings keep getting pushed back.
Although Billy will have questions about that, Amanda will suggest he’d have to talk to Dumas himself.
Billy will argue that he’s trying and will seek some help, so Amanda will agree to see what she can do.
Amanda will also give Billy a nudge to repair his bond with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who doesn’t like that their relationship has crumbled.
Once Amanda walks away, Sally will express some distrust when it comes to Dumas’ attorney.
After Sally bets that Amanda’s keeping secrets, Billy will agree that things are getting awfully suspicious when it comes to all the Dumas drama.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda may have a hard time keeping a lid on Dumas’ real identity, so stay tuned for updates on all the stunning news to come.
