The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, May 9, reveal that Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) weak spot will be exploited while Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is encouraged to face the harsh truth.

For starters, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will try to make some updates to Claire’s perspective.

If Claire’s imagining happy family gatherings and holidays where Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) pats Kyle on the back, she’s chasing a pipe dream.

Although Claire desperately wants Victor to see another side of Kyle and offer his blessing on their relationship, that may not be a possibility.

Nikki will push Claire to accept a difficult reality on Friday’s show, so she may argue that Victor tolerating Kyle is perhaps the best she can hope for.

Of course, Nikki may also warn about the retaliation that could be brewing.

Victor might hear from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about Kyle and Claire wanting to buy his old place, so that could set the stage for a bold move.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will indeed strike at Kyle on Friday’s Y&R episode.

We’ll see Victor exploit a weak spot and infuriate Kyle in the process.

In addition to trying to derail Kyle and Claire’s deal with Adam, Victor might target Kyle at Jabot somehow.

Kyle will be at the office when he blows his top and vents to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Victor’s latest round of chaos.

Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), she may have reservations about Adam’s backup plan to deal with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Aristotle Dumas.

Chelsea will continue to face doubts about this working arrangement, but Adam will make more positive predictions and try to keep her committed to their Newman Media partnership.

Although Chelsea may stick with her new job for now, her decision to work with Adam might be a recipe for disaster!

Could teaming up at Newman Media cause Adam and Chelsea’s personal relationship to fall apart?

Time will tell, but Chelsea and Adam definitely seem to be playing with fire here.

It’ll be interesting to see if Adam and Chelsea’s romance can survive the inevitable obstacles ahead of them.
