The Young And The Restless Spoilers: NBC’s Suits LA Honors and Remembers the Late Billy Miller
Before Billy Miller passed away in 2023, he created magic on daytime shows like All My Children, The Young and the Restless, and General Hospital. On primetime and in the streaming universe, he starred on the original version of Suits and in shows like Truth Be Told, Ray Donovan, and Justified. The actor made a lasting impression with fans and costars, and NBC’s Suits spinoff, Suits LA, recently paid tribute to the Daytime Emmy-winning star.
In Memory Of
Due to the overwhelming popularity of Suits after the late great USA Network show hit Netflix, NBC ordered a spinoff that now stars Stephen Amell of Arrow and Heels fame.
However, during this first season, creator Aaron Korsh, who also created the OG show, brought back its biggest heavy hitter, Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter. He plopped the ferocious attorney into this brand-new world of Suits LA in a recurring capacity.
Harvey is first seen in flashbacks and later helps a struggling Ted with an old case. Because he’s Harvey, he has remained tight-lipped about his life, but in this week’s episode, “Bat Signal,” he opened up a smidge to Amell’s character, Ted Black.
He told Ted that a few years back, he lost his brother to cancer. Harvey then asked Ted, who lost his own brother, “Does it get any easier?” And Ted responded, “Depends on the day….depends on the day.”
At the end of the episode, the show paid tribute to Miller with an “In Memory Of” dedication to the actor who played Harvey’s brother, Marcus, in five episodes of Suits.
Miller’s 2023 death was ruled a suicide. He was 43 years old and just a couple of days shy of his 44th birthday. At the time, Macht praised the actor who played his brother when he posted a message on X, formerly Twitter.
He said, “RIP my tv bro #BillyMiller I am touched by ur thoughtfulness, ur authentic honest approach 2 ur art, ur kind nature & big smile that Litt us all. May ur memory always be a blessing to ur Mother, ur Sister & her children. & 2 so many you’ve touched. Peace&❤️.”
Suits LA wraps up its first season in May. There is no word yet on whether the legal drama will return for a second season.
