“Hunter King’s Heartbreak: Why Young and the Restless Alum Hunter King Postponed Nuptials
Hunter King got engaged to Chris Copier in October 2024. After leaving The Young and the Restless, her acting career soared.
She starred alongside Tyler Hynes in Hallmark’s hit movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
King also landed a recurring role in the popular CBS sitcom, The Neighborhood. Unfortunately, King’s career has caused her to postpone her upcoming wedding.
Feeling The Pressure
King appeared on the Hearts of Stars podcast, sharing an update on her wedding.
The couple initially planned to wed in 2025, but they had to push it to 2026. Both of them have been juggling various projects, which has made wedding planning difficult.
“I know I had to put on Instagram that we were getting married in four months. And oh my gosh, the planning was just crazy. It was getting overwhelming,” King said. “
Then, we ran into a few snags with just, like, family events going on, and then things with our venue. And so, we actually decided to push our wedding now to 2026.”
King admits that she “can breathe again.” They’re willing to wait when their projects slow down. The actress is also waiting to see whether CBS will renew The Neighborhood. “
We were also trying to work with (what) the schedule is if the pilot gets picked up, and what that small window would be when you’re not filming,” King explained.
Wedding Planning
King first shared her wedding plans on her Instagram Stories. In February, she went shopping for wedding dresses. But she stepped away when it became too much to deal with.
King found herself relying on her followers for advice. She admitted that the process was more stressful than it needed to be.
“It’s going to be so much fun, but it makes it a little bit more enjoyable to take our time,” she noted. King wants to plan a destination wedding since it has become a tradition among her sisters, Kelli and Joey King.
