The Young and the Restless Thursday, April 17 Recap || Y&R 04/17/2025 Recap

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, April 17, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will leak Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) spy scheme to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) while Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) fixation puzzles Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

At the Newman ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will quiz Victor about his meeting with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and make another failed attempt to convince him to drop his vendetta against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Nikki will also object to Victor standing against Claire’s romance with Kyle, but Victor will make a prediction about it ending in heartbreak.

Talk will eventually turn to Aristotle Dumas potentially making a play for Chancellor since he’s been in touch with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Although Nikki will want to get in Billy’s face about it, Victor will shut down the idea since no moves have been made yet.

At the GCAC, Jack will give Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) updates on how Kyle handled Victor’s spy so masterfully. Diane will be glad Kyle made Jack proud, but this spy news will definitely concern her – especially since there could be more.

Although Diane will hint about going after Victor just as hard and burning Newman Enterprises to the ground, Jack won’t want to take things that far.

Based on Jack’s experience, he won’t like letting enemies define him and will suggest Victor can have the hollow victories. That said, Jack will be determined to fight back when it comes to these spy games and defend Jabot.

After Jack admits Michael has been serving as Victor’s fixer and made all the spy arrangements, Diane will call him a snake! Despite Diane’s disappointment in her friend, Jack won’t want her to tip Michael off to trouble.

At the jazz lounge, Claire will speculate about Audra’s motives for pushing Kyle’s buttons and will consider the possibility that it’s personal. Kyle will argue that he had a fling with Audra and nothing more, so he’ll snap at Claire as he tries to change the subject.

Claire will seem a little hurt over Kyle’s tone, so he’ll apologize and point out that the Glissade era was a difficult time in his life. It’ll still be a struggle for Kyle to forgive himself for how he treated Jack and Diane.

Although Kyle will just want to move on, Claire won’t be so sure Audra’s going to let him based on the way she keeps staring across the room.

After Kyle brings up his successful day at Jabot, he’ll once again get cagey when Claire seeks details. Claire won’t like the way Kyle keeps shutting her out, so he’ll finally come clean about Victor’s spy who infiltrated Jabot to steal sensitive information.

Kyle will try to open Claire’s eyes to the way Victor operates, so she’ll be upset over seeing that side of her grandfather. Since Kyle will hope to lift Claire’s spirits, he’ll invite her out on the dance floor.

At a table nearby, Nate will warn Audra that she could be signing up for more of the same drama and that Victor could be using her to go after Jack’s company.

Audra will think she can protect herself this time around and won’t mind crushing the competition since that’d just prove her worth.

Nate also won’t get why Audra felt the need to gloat to Kyle instead of keeping the element of surprise on her side. Audra will counter that she didn’t reveal much to Kyle and will think he deserves to squirm after the way he undermined her.

At one point on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Audra will suggest it’s sad for Claire since things are never going to work out with Kyle.

After Nate contends that Claire and Kyle seem happy, he’ll question why Audra is so worried about whether they’ll go the distance as a couple.

Audra will insist it was just an observation and convince Nate to come dance with her, so they’ll dance alongside Kyle and Claire. That’ll give Audra a chance to stare at Kyle with a creepy smile while he frowns back at her.
