You Won’t Believe Who Could Be Holding Sharon and Phyllis After March 4 Young and the Restless
On the March 4 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon and Phyllis tried to guess who might be holding them hostage. Sharon accused Daniel and Summer.
Phyllis accused Mariah and Faith. Both said it was ridiculous. They then both considered Nick. (While Nick, Chance, and Summer wondered if Sharon and Phyllis might have kidnapped each other.)
Obviously, there are plenty of candidates. Why not Victor? Why not Nikki? Why not Jack? Why not Diane? Here’s why not. And here’s who it might actually be…
The Usual Suspects
Would Diane (Susan Walters) kidnap two of Jack’s (Peter Bergman) ex-wives in order to make sure she had him all to herself? Would Jack stash those two away so he’ll never have to hear them squabble again?
Would Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) or Victor (Eric Braeden) want to get both evil harpies away from their precious Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) for good?
Would Nick see it as a way to finally stop his endless back and forth? No. Because any of the above would be a crazy reaction. So, who in Genoa City is currently crazy?
Last Woman Standing
The two most recent psychos, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian (Ray Wise), are presumed dead. Cameron (Linden Ashby) was a hallucination. Claire (Hayley Erin) is all better now.
That just leaves…Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Yes, Ashley. Sure, she was let out for Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) wedding. But even she admitted she was still receiving therapy, and she still has no idea what triggered her breakdown in the first place.
Jack of All Trades
What if Ashley’s repressed memory is of a trauma connected to Jack?
We can certainly imagine a scenario where teenage Jack’s bros ganged up to attack his little sister back in the day. Ashley could have repressed the memory because she didn’t want to anger her big brother.
After all, her mother had already left her. She didn’t want to lose Jack, too. So Ashley kept the secret to herself, but it made her angrier and angrier until she snapped and decided to take it out on two women from Jack’s past. She wanted to punish Jack without actually punishing him. Because she still doesn’t want to lose her big brother.
