Young & Restless Alum and His Family Suffer a Huge Shock: ‘We Are Heartbroken’

The past week was a rough one for soap-hopper Jordi Vilasuso and his family. “We are heartbroken to share that we had to say goodbye to our sweet, sweet Maddy girl,” wife Kaitlin shared on Instagram.

“She has been the most loyal companion, by our sides through all of life’s ups and downs during the past almost 15 years. 

“She was Jordi and my first ‘baby’ while we were dating, welcomed home all three girls with us, and brought so much life and cuddles and joy to each of our days,” she added.

“She never met a stranger, had a passion for food (ha), loved a family photo shoot, was a champion napper and made sure to have our back until the very end — making sure she got us through our big cross-country move before she had to go.”

Cross-country move? Say what now? “More on that later,” Mrs. V said. “There were many tears cried into [Maddy’s] beautiful fur and hugs around her sweet neck. She loved us fiercely and was beyond loved in return.”

In closing, Kaitlin tried to sum up in words what she and her family felt in their hearts. “We will love you forever, sweet pup. I pray that you’re running and happy and that all dogs really do go to heaven.

Until we meet again… ” In the meantime, “we will forever be grateful for the God wink Bailee, Ry and Evie got in the sky a few hours after she passed. Towards the end of the video… looks to us like her sweet profile while she’s playing. I’ll take it.”

Vilasuso is of course the Daytime Emmy winner who played Tony on Guiding Light, Griffin on All My Children, Dario on Days of Our Lives and poor, ill-fated Rey on Young & Restless. He married actress Kaitlin Riley in 2012, and the couple now have three daughters.
