‘Bold & Beautiful’ Fans Disgusted With Brad Bell & What He Has Done

A recent storyline, complete with a special promotion, has gotten fans of The Bold and the Beautiful talking. Some fans have become so upset with the story that they’ve been calling out head writer Brad Bell himself. On the other hand, some fans have come to the soap’s defense.

A Recent Story On The Bold and the Beautiful Comes With A Special Promotion

The Bold and the Beautiful originally premiered back in 1987, serving as a sister series to The Young and the Restless. Both classic soaps were co-created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, whose son, Bradley “Brad” Bell, currently serves as The Bold and the Beautiful‘s head writer and executive producer.

Brad has had quite the history with the soap. In years past, he has served as a supervising producer, an associate producer, and a breakdown/script writer. Beforehand, he also worked as an occasional script writer on The Young and the Restless.

However, one recent storyline on the soap has gotten fans asking about where the money is going on the soap. This comes out as various characters, Ridge Forrester, Eric Forrester, Brooke Logan, and Nick Marone, are set to visit Europe for a fashion show.

This means that the soap is actually filming on location in Italy. In fact, this is the sixth time the soap has filmed in the country, where Bold and the Beautiful is known to have a strong fan base.

That said, not all fans are excited about the trip. On social media, one fan dubbed it a “waste of money.” They continued, “Just think of the sets they could have built on what they spent filming in Italy for a story no fan wants to even see. I used to like Brooke, now I just want to puke when I see her pining away for the caveman.”

“It’s ridiculous what the writers and Bell have done to these characters. I watched about 10 minutes of this stupid story being rehashed for the umpteenth time. I’m going to DVR these episodes so I can fast forward through the Italy garbage. It’s a shame.”

Some Fans Don’t Mind The Trip To Italy, But Still Don’t Like The Storylines

That said, other fans were more supportive of the idea. In particular, some compared the situation to the sets used on sister-series The Young and the Restless.

With Aristotle Dumas’ recent reveal taking place at a part in France, one fan noted, “I’m just glad to see some beautiful scenery. The Y&R had that stupid fake greenery maze.”

Other fans felt that it was practical to film on location. As these fans pointed out, these tend to do well with fans and help pay homage to the show’s foreign fans.

On the other hand, some agree with the original poster’s sentiment, feeling the soap is wasting resources on certain aspects of the show, at the expense of others. Some even took to questioning Brad Bell himself.

A few even shared mixed feelings, noting they didn’t care for the storylines, but didn’t mind the recent change in scenery. Some comments included:
