Hope Makes an Emotional Appeal to Liam — and Finn Unleashes on Luna
At Forrester, Finn promises Steffy that he won’t let Luna anywhere near them. She won’t be a problem for them.
Taylor and Ridge tell Finn how happy they are that he’s been by Steffy’s side through all oft his. Steffy appreciates his loyalty despite Luna being his daughter.
Steffy tells Finn that Luna doesn’t have his heart or goodness. Taylor tells Finn he’s a good man and Luna is a deeply troubled young woman. She latched onto a fantasy of a life she deserved and in her mind, killing Tom and caging Steffy was the way to get there
. Steffy says she blames everyone else for what happened. Ridge declares that she’s lost touch with reality. That’s why she’s dangerous.
Taylor says Luna is disassociating right now, that’s what makes her dangerous. She’s worried about the lengths she’ll go to in order to secure Finn’s place in her life as her father.
Finn says that’s not going to happen. Steffy sighs about Bill getting her pardoned. Finn assures her he’ll make it clear she has no place in their lives. Steffy just hopes she understands.
Luna Lashes Out
At Luna’s place, she tells Poppy this is her fault. She never had a chance to have a relationship with her father because she kept her from him.
She can’t let Steffy keep her from him too. Poppy protests that everything she did was to protect her. Luna rants that they moved around; she has roots anywhere.
She had to teach herself to not get attached or rely on anyone but herself. “You were the worst mother in the world.” Poppy reels.
She reminds her daughter of how close they were. Luan sneers about “Nozawa power,” and rants about her keeping her father from her.
Now, Steffy’s trying to do the same thing to her as an adult. Her life would be completely different if Finn had been a part of it. She’s lost too many years and can’t lose anymore!
Poppy tells Luna she can take ownership, but she has to stop making excuses about her upbringing. She has got to stop using her childhood to justify the crimes she’s committed.
“This is on you, Luna. And you alone.” Luna guesses she’s turning her back on her like everyone else. She snarks, “Bill won’t even help me.”
Poppy gawps. “Bill got you pardoned! You owe your life and your freedom to that man!” Luna steps forward, sneering, and says, “Trust me, Penelope. I’m going to make the most out of my freedom. And that means a future with my father… and nothing is going to stop me. Especially Steffy Forrester.”
Liam Tears Up
At the cliff house, Hope brings Liam her laptop to fix, and a drawing of their family that Beth sent for him. Liam turns melancholy and she asks if he’s OK.
He hates that he has to leave them. Hope’s happy to hear he has some fight in him. Liam teaches her how to use alt-control-delete on her laptop, and then teases she doesn’t need an excuse to check up on him
. She promises not to come over under false pretenses as long as he promises to be there as long as he can. He will do whatever he can to spend as much time as possible with the people he loves.
Liam admits it’s hard not to let his situation get the best of him, but there are moments he actually forgets… usually when he’s with the girls.
Then reality kicks back in. Hope is there for him and so is Steffy. He says they’ve been his lifeline. Hope tells him he just referred to the two people who know about his condition as a lifeline… she thinks he could use even a little more support. She wants him to let the rest of his family know about his condition.
Liam’s already told her why he wants to keep his diagnosis a secret. It’s his decision. Hope tells him she would have been devastated if she’d never been told and never got this time with him.
Liam didn’t want to upend her whole life. She says, “You didn’t.” Bill and his brothers would want to know. They’ll want this time with him. That is a gift he can give them now. “Please take advantage of that.”
Liam doesn’t want all the focus to be on him, and his family constantly trying to do everything they can. Bill will spend every waking minute calling every specialist there is. What he wants is to spend his time with the girls, Hope, and Steffy while he’s still strong enough.
There isn’t capacity beyond that for him. Hope asks him to try… they’re his family. “Heed my words. You have always been there for the people in your life at the drop of a hat.” Let them return the favor. Liam agonizes. Hope knows so she’s able to take advantage of every moment she has with him.
Wyatt, Will and Bill deserve the same chance. “Don’t be stubborn.” Liam cries. Hope urges him to let the people who love him support him. “They deserve to know.”
Imminent Danger
At Forrester, Steffy, Taylor and Ridge are alone. Steffy thinks Ridge doesn’t trust what Finn said. Ridge just feels they can’t take a chance with Luna.
Taylor says she’s dangerous and unpredictable. She’s already targeted her. Steffy wonders if she’s supposed to live in constant fear. She won’t let her guard down, but she can’t let Luna control her life. She trusts Finn to keep them safe.
If he says he’s not going to have Luna is their lives, she believes him. Ridge asks what happens when Luna realizes she won’t be part of Finn’s life. “Then what?”
At the cliff house, Finn is working at the table when Luna walks in and says, “Hi dad!” Finn leaps up and asks what she’s doing there. She can’t be there! Luna had to see him without Steffy. “I need you!” She spent so much of her life dreaming about her father.
She knows she feels the pull too. Finn says, “We’ve been over this.” Luna says Steffy’s not here now and this is about them. “Father and daughter.”
Everyone else has shut her out. “Please, dad. Tell me you want me to be a part of your life.” Finn has thought a lot about this, but Luna is the one who put them here. “You killed two people, Luna! You drugged and abducted my wife. You left her to die!
You may be my daughter, but we will never have a relationship.” Luna pouts, “You can’t mean that.” Finn hollers, “I do! And you will never come here to see me or my family ever again!!” Luna gets a sinister look on her face.
