Bold & Beautiful’s Set to Reveal Liam’s Fate — It’s Surprising and Heartbreaking
The week of April 7 promises to be do or die on The Bold and the Beautiful — specifically for Scott Clifton’s Liam Spencer.
As you no doubt know, last week he had an epic fight with dad Bill over his nonsensical decision to turn loose menace to society Luna Nozawa, then collapsed not once but twice and flatlined in the hospital.
Talk about your bad days!
Now, just as Liam’s ex-wives Steffy and Hope have him foremost in their thoughts again, his fate is set to be revealed. Will he die? Doubtful.
Though his passing would impact half the canvas, he’s almost sure to pull through to replay a triangle with his former spouses… with a twist.
If Liam wakes up with amnesia — it’s happened before! — the stepsibling rivals could vie for his affections with an even playing field. Why would Steffy do that when she’s happily hitched to Finn?
Duh. Because she ain’t gonna be for much longer. His inability to steer clear of newfound daughter Luna is sure to be the one obstacle “Sinn” can’t overcome.
On the other hand, Bold & Beautiful could just be making us think that that’s where it’s heading when really it’s going to use Liam’s near-death experience as the excuse that it didn’t need in the first place to have Ivy inform her crush that she’s back in L.A.
Why she hasn’t done so already, we can’t fathom! But whatever gets their renewed romance going, we’re all for.
It wasn’t even Friday, but Bold & Beautiful delivered a helluva cliffhanger at the tail end of its April 3 episode (recapped here).
After reading Bill for filth for his shortsighted freeing of double murderess Luna, Liam quit his job at Spencer Publications and shrugged off his father’s threat to take away his trust fund.
“Liquidate it,” Liam said. He’d never wanted money, anyway, he’d wanted a dad that he could love, and that sure wasn’t Bill anymore.
Sick of having truth bombs dropped on him, Bill left for a meeting, telling his son not to be there when he got back.
And in a way, Liam won’t be there. Alone, his vision blurred, and he collapsed, hitting his head on the coffee table as he went down.
Was Liam dead? No, we learned a day later. He got up and made it to the front door, only to collapse again. After being found by ex-wife Steffy, he was rushed to the hospital, where he — ack — flatlined!
Was this really the end?!?
Scott Clifton has spent so much time on the backburner lately, he could have mail delivered there. But the show wouldn’t kill off the three-time Emmy winner’s character, would it?
Our hunch? No way. The blow that Liam took to the head will just leave him with some kind of amnesia (as it has done before; remember when Quinn convinced him that they were married?!?
What will be even more interesting is seeing if Liam’s amnesia is complete or partial. If it’s complete, he could fall prey to the likes of Luna, against whom he had just been railing. If it’s partial, he could wake up mistakenly believing that he’s still married to Steffy or Hope.
If it’s the latter, hey, at least it would give her something to do besides mope about the fact that her coup against the Forresters didn’t stick and her insta-relationship with Carter didn’t stand the test of time. What do you think is going to happen?
