Sister Wives Paedon Brown Told Friends He Was “Poor”
Easily one of TLC’s most successful shows ever, it is hard to overstate how big of a hit that Sister Wives has been for the network. Since the show has been wildly successful for so long, the 19th season of Sister Wives is airing as of the time of this writing.
In the years since Sister Wives premiered on September 26, 2010, more than 200 episodes of the reality show have aired.
With the Brown family has always been at the center of such a successful show, it seems obvious they should have been paid a fortune. On top of that, there is no doubt that the Brown family has had other opportunities to cash in.
With all that in mind, Sister Wives fans had every reason to assume that the members of the Brown family are rich. Despite that, Paedon Brown spoke out publicly about being “#poor” and asked his followers for “help.”
According to the video, Peadon’s TikTok upload with that caption also asked his fans for their financial help. While Paedon wasn’t asking for donations, he asked his fans to buy cute automobile accessories that he would make money from.
Since the video with that caption appears to be gone from Paedon’s TikTok account, some people may think that all evidence of Paedon claiming to be starving is gone. However, that isn’t the case at all.
On March 3rd, 2022, Paedon uploaded a video on his TikTok account that featured him walking in a Costco store. As the video begins, Paedon can be seen saying that he is starving.
Everyone, I just snuck into Costco. Yes, I have a membership. Yes, my mom, Christine, pays for it because she has money, and I am a starving adult.
However, some claims that he was speaking out about being broke months later are inaccurate. It has been reported that Paedon spoke about asking his dad for financial help and not getting it during an interview. However, those reports are inaccurate.
According to reports, Paedon said during an interview for John Yates’ YouTube channel that his dad refuses to give him financial help. “We ask him for help, & he doesn’t give it to us.”
However, that quote is taken out of context in two ways. First off, that remark was made during a discussion that wasn’t about money. Secondly, that remark wasn’t made by Paedon. Instead, it was one of the people who was interviewing Paedon who made that statement.
While there is no way to know for sure how Paedon is doing financially now, there was an update that seemed positive. On December 27th, 2024, Janelle Brown posted on Instagram about Paedon moving to North Carolina. The caption to that post featured Janelle revealing that Paedon had gotten a job where he was living.
“We are so happy that Paedon is now a resident of NC . He even has a job and an apartment so I figure he is really sticking around 😀😀.”
Paedon Brown Claimed Kody Brown Tried To Stop His Kids From Saying “Negative” Things About Him In Public
Considering how successful Sister Wives has been, the idea that Paedon Brown could have financial problems seems shocking. With that in mind, it begs an obvious question. Should Kody Brown have shared more money made from Sister Wives with his children? According to a claim Paedon Brown made, fans may have never found out about how Kody’s kids feel about getting money from their dad.
TLC would have legal ramifications to sue me for speaking negatively about my father.
However, Paedon stated that TLC didn’t agree to Kody’s request to add that stipulation to their contracts. “TLC was like, ‘I don’t think we should do that.'” With that in mind, it makes sense that Paedon and his siblings can also still speak out about their father.
