Oh… My… ! General Hospital Just Confirmed the Truth About Ronnie — and [Spoiler] at the Same Time!
Finally! On Tuesday’s General Hospital episode, we got the truth about Monica’s will: Martin forged it and Ronnie has been in on it the whole time. It’s not a surprise.
We figured it had to be something like that because there’s no way — absolutely none — that Monica would have turned her back on her family and just given everything to the sister she never even met in person.
But we’ve been wracking our brains to figure out what actually happened and who was involved.
We wondered if Drew had done something. We pondered that Martin had set the whole thing in motion. Heck, we even thought that some con woman had taken the real Ronnie’s place to defraud the Quartermaines!
But thanks to Tuesday’s episode, we now know that this woman is, indeed, Monica’s sister, Ronnie — and despite going along with the whole con, she doesn’t feel good about it!
In her real will, Monica only left her the locket, and it sounds like Ronnie would have been fine with that. In fact, Martin had to do some talking to convince her to go along with this whole scheme!
But after her run-in with Tracy in the Quartermaine crypt, Ronnie warmed up to the idea of sticking it to Monica’s sister-in-law. Can anyone blame her? Besides, Tracy.
Now, though, as the family has welcomed her into their hearts (and she’s welcomed them into “her” home), she’s regretting the whole thing. She hates deceiving them.
And now that we know the truth, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before it comes out — or until Ronnie herself blows the whole thing up out of guilt! If Martin lets her.
He’s turning more and more into an outright monster as he’s the one who drugged Ronnie without her knowledge, figuring she’d blame Tracy for it. Plus, he’s pushing her to sell the house to Drew, which even a newcomer like Ronnie knows is a bad idea.
Hopefully Martin doesn’t go any further and put Ronnie in danger to keep the secret. No matter what, though, it’s clear that Ronnie’s time in Port Charles is limited.
We knew Erika Slezak was only appearing for a limited run, but we’re just hoping that in the end, Ronnie leaves of her own choice and the door is left open to a return someday, when tempers cool!
