GH reveals news about star Eden McCoy (Josslyn) – everyone will be sad to know that…
Josslyn’s first big spy mission has kept General Hospital viewers on the edge of their seats. After a dangerous trip overseas for the WSB, Joss faced explosions, secrets, and a romance that heated up under pressure.
In real life, actress Eden McCoy has been stepping into new territory herself, diving into high-octane stunt work while balancing fan excitement over Josslyn’s surprising new chapter.
McCoy opened up recently about how much she enjoyed the challenge and what comes next now that Jason knows Joss’ secret.
Stepping Into the Action
McCoy explained to Soap Opera Digest how she immediately adapted to the physical demands of this new storyline.
“I had so much fun doing the stunts,” she enthusiastically declared, and described the intense coordination that went into the scene where the Five Poppies resort blows up.
She stated that doing the stunt “was so cool!” and revealed that a cannon that shot rubber pieces was used to safely simulate the blast.
“We only got one take or maybe two takes to get it [filmed],” she explained, adding that all four actors – McCoy, Bryce Durfee (Vaughn), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt), and Steve Burton (Jason) — “had to time exactly when we were going to jump and fall on the floor, like you would see in a normal explosion.”
They only had two takes to get it right, so the stakes for all involved were very high.
Fallout for Josslyn
Now that the Five Poppies mission is behind them, McCoy teased how the aftermath will affect Josslyn’s relationships.
“I think she’s probably going to lie to herself [about it not posing a problem],” she admitted. She further reflected on the fact that because Jason now knows her secret, it will create some tension if he decides to tell Carly (Laura Wright).
But McCoy felt that while Jason is loyal to Carly, he’ll also do anything to protect Joss, including keeping her secret. General Hospital spoilers for September 17 see him dealing with somber family news, but his knowing still puts her double life in jeopardy.
As McCoy put it, “My mom could find out, and my life could change because of that.”
The actress suggested that Josslyn will choose to believe Jason won’t betray her confidence, even if the weight of that secret could shift everything.
