General Hospital Preview: The Day Fans Have Waited for Patiently Is Here! — Drew’s Heartbreaking Ending
Yes, General Hospital fans, the week many have been waiting months for is finally here! After a few weeks lining up the suspects and the threats, the latest promo for the ABC soap teases the beginning of the “Who Shot Drew?” storyline.
The soap’s most currently hated character is finally going to get his, but we’re pretty sure he’s not going to die.
The promo starts off with Anna asking Dante how many people would want Drew dead. We see Drew, alone in his house, hear a gunshot, and see the expression on his face.
It looks as if he’s been shot in the back, so he won’t have seen who his would-be killer was. Could he wind up paralyzed? In a coma? With total amnesia about the past year or so, reverting to the Drew we all once knew and actually liked?
Dante tells Anna it’s a pretty long list of suspects, so she suggests he start at the top… Several faces flash across the screen, but what could their motives be? Review the full list of suspects here.
Drew’s been blackmailing Dr. Portia Robinson for months now, knowing she tampered with Heather Webber’s blood results to keep her in prison. It almost cost the doctor her career and freedom, and it has seemingly ended her marriage to Curtis.
Sonny Cortinthos has promised Alexis Davis twice now that Drew has made so many enemies that someone would take him out. Did he do it for her, Michael, or just because it had to be done?
Willow was stunned to learn Drew not only had slept with her mother, Nina, but also was an all-around terrible guy who was a primary reason she lost her children to begin with, though she’d rather put the blame on her mother instead of her own actions. Drew promised to get her kids back, and she sees him as her only hope, but perhaps she finally snaps.
Curtis Ashford has been at odds with Drew for over a year now, ever since the congressman backstabbed him over the Aurora CEO position.
Now, Drew has had Curtis’ Aunt Stella brought up on insurance fraud charges, and Curtis promised to see him dead before his aunt goes to jail.
Nina Reeves has been desperate to get Drew out of Willow’s life, and believes her daughter’s deal to go back to him if he can get her kids back is a huge mistake. Would she kill to keep Drew out of her daughter’s life?
Finally, Michael Corinthos blames Drew for breaking up his marriage to Willow and twisting her into the deranged mother and person she’s become today.
Drew just last week taunted Michael that he had evidence that the judge, who had just turned up dead in the river, was paid to rule in his favor for custody of his and Willow’s children. That could cost Michael his kids and push him to murder!
Of course, this is just the tip of the massive iceberg of people who hate Drew! We have a long list of additional suspects in the mystery and their motives.
