General Hospital Preview Week of August 18: Maxie Collapses, Josslyn Held at Gunpoint, Britt Faces Danger
General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 18-22 suggest Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have a collapse, while Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is in danger, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be held at gunpoint.
The ABC soap has just released its weekly preview, and as per usual, it offers explosive insight into what’s ahead in the land of Port Charles (and the 5 Poppies Resort), over the next five days.
The preview opens with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in the doorway of Britt’s 5 Poppies Resort room, while she’s sitting on the bed.
The two longingly stare at each other before a close-up of Jason is shown, as he tells her, “You’re in danger,” and she looks on with concern.
Fans can sense Britt is being held against her will, and the mystery man who’s doing so is using her medication as a bargaining chip to ensure she continues to do research and lab work.
The big question is: who’s the mystery man, and will he be revealed during the week of August 18?
As the General Hospital preview progresses, Jason is shown at a table, somewhere on the resort, as Joss is peaking in the rose bushes.
She may have decided to take a stroll, spotted Jason, and then hid behind the flowers.
Regardless, Joss’s voice can be heard in the background as she tells someone, “We have a problem”.
It almost looks like Jason has spotted Josslyn in the preview video; however, this is likely just editing, although only time will tell.
As the promo progresses, the next clip shows Joss opening the door of her resort room to who appears to be Pascal (Marc Forget, aiming a gun at her, as a voiceover of Joss can be heard saying, “Let’s go get Britt!”
The words, “Things take a turn for the worse,” then flash across the screen. The GH weekly preview wraps up with a scene of Maxie, as she happily places some drugged skin cream on her face.
It’s clear that she, along with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), is on the set of Home and Heart for another Deception segment.
Lucy is talking to the host, Flora Gardens (Susan Batten), as Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) is off to the side on the set (not on camera), watching on.
As Lucy and Flora chit-chat about Deception’s skincare line, Maxie is shown applying skin cream then immediately feeling unwell, visibly unstable, and finally collapses.
Fans can hear all three of the ladies scream, “Maxie!” as she falls to the floor.
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Kirsten Storms is temporarily leaving the canvas this week, as the actress needs time away from the show to make the big move from L.A. to Tennessee – so, how will Maxie’s exit storyline unfold, will she be kidnapped after collapsing?
