The End Is Near for General Hospital’s Sonny: His Days of Ruling Port Charles Are Over — and All Because of [Spoiler]
General Hospital has just sealed Sonny’s fate as a power player in Port Charles — by giving nemesis Sidwell the ammunition to blow the Teflon don and his criminal empire sky-high.
Sonny’s Untouchable… What Happened?
For years, Sonny has pretty much done whatever he wanted in Port Charles and gotten away with it. Heck, he murdered a federal agent in cold blood and never even stood trial.
But he seems to have met his match in Sidwell. The new Big Bad is always one step ahead of his competition — just ask Ms. Wu! — and now he has stuck Sonny right where he wants him… ironically, by giving the godfather something that he himself wanted!
Via a large and untraceable deposit into the bank account of the judge who granted Michael, not Willow, custody of Wiley and Amelia, Sidwell made it appear that Sonny had committed bribery.
Why does it matter? Though Sonny could probably get off with just another slap on the wrist, Michael would never forgive his father for engaging in underhanded tactics that would give Willow the advantage as the kids’ permanent custody is decided.
What Happens Next?
When the time is right for Sidwell to force Sonny to do his bidding, Marco’s father will merely threaten to “expose” the mobster’s bribe. Sonny will have no choice but to do as he’s told or risk Michael losing the kids and he himself losing Michael.
