Willow & Michael Face Off In Custody Battle
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael’s (Rory Gibson) second marriage didn’t last long. They first tied the knot in 2020 to help him get custody of his son, Wiley (Viron Weaver.)
The first wedding was a marriage of convenience, but the pair eventually fell in love for real. They tied the knot for a second time in 2023, surrounded by friends and family.
However, the marriage is over now. Willow had an affair with Drew (Cameron Mathison.) In response to the infidelity, Michael had a one-night stand with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson.) Sasha got pregnant from the encounter but conspired with Jason (Steve Burton) to keep the paternity a secret. Jason pretended to be the father, but secrets have a way of coming out on soaps, and usually at the worst time.
Sasha’s lies were revealed during a court battle between Willow and Michael for custody of Wiley and their daughter, Amelia. Sasha went into labor while on the stand, and Willow helped deliver the baby, a girl named Daisy.
But the baby’s birth wasn’t the only excitement in the courtroom. Michael was eventually given sole custody. Not only was he given custody, but the judge called out Willow for neglecting the kids, sending Willow into a mental breakdown.
Custody Twist Leaves Willow Hospitalized
Willow fainted at the courthouse after the judge’s decision. Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) sent her to the hospital for a psych evaluation.
It’s not clear where the storyline is going now that Michael has custody, but some fans think Willow will take desperate action amid the mental breakdown. Could she steal Michael and Sasha’s new baby?

If Willow does resort to kidnapping, her next stop might be Ferncliff, the go-to mental facility for Port Charles residents. Getting sent off to a mental facility or prison is a surefire way for soaps to get a character off the canvas for a while.
That usually means the actor leaves, too. Is Katelyn MacMullen leaving General Hospital?
She joined the show in 2018. The character has strong connections to Port Charles, but that doesn’t guarantee a spot on the cast. Lucky Spencer recently left town again after actor Jonathan Jackson chose to leave.
Kelly Thiebaud is returning to the soap later this year. OLTL vet Erika Slezak was recently cast for a short appearance later this fall. With all the comings and goings, General Hospital fans are concerned that Willow is leaving.
Neither the soap or the actress has addressed these concerns. However, it seems unlikely that Willow is leaving Port Charles permanently, even if she’s shipped off to Ferncliff for a while. ComingSoon.net shared a theory that the storyline will take a shocking twist into a darker storyline arc for Willow.
