General Hospital Shock: Dante Made a Huge Mistake and Lost a Son on May 6

Dante is on the warpath after Rocco’s alcohol poisoning on the May 6, 2025 episode of General Hospital… and it ended with a shock.

Who’s To Blame?

As Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) pressed Gio (Giovanni Mazza) for information about what happened with Rocco (Finn Carr), things escalated quickly in the GH waiting room.

'General Hospital' Recap May 6: Dante Blasts Gio & Drew Makes A Deal For Info

Dante noted the amount of times he’s had to tell parents their child didn’t make it from alcohol poisoning, then throw in his trauma from losing Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco), and Dante’s anger becomes valid, even if he is taking it out on the wrong person.

He made Gio responsible for whatever happened to Rocco, and once the doctor arrived, he and a Lulu (Alexa Havins) sat by their son’s side until he woke up. Rocco was apologetic to his parents, but Dante’s relief didn’t change how furious he was at Gio.

When Dante took Gio and Lois (Rena Sofer) aside to talk, he laid into Gio some more over what happened to his son. While Lulu eavesdropped, Lois interrupted Dante’s rage with, “You don’t know who he really is!”

Only Lois knows that Gio is Dante’s son, and his anger toward him has to be killing her.

Meanwhile, when Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) found out what happened with Rocco, Carly (Laura Wright) paid her best friend’s son a visit at the boathouse.

She explained the responsibility falls on him, and he should have been there to protect Rocco.

While neither Danny nor Rocco are truly to blame for what happened, this situation is sure to teach Port Charles’ youngsters a lesson.

While Rocco will be just fine, it may have come at a cost for the secret father and son.

Do you think Lois will reveal Gio’s identity? Let us know in the comments.

Rocco Nearly Dies And Dante Blames Gio

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) arrives at GH to find that Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) has been admitted for alcohol poisoning. He rips into Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) despite him simply finding Rocco and trying to help him.

Gio tells him that he found Rocco in rough shape and believed that if he got him home safely that he would sleep it off. Dante is furious because Rocco could have died if he hadn’t gotten to the hospital in time.

Finally, Dante and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) are brought in to see their son, and the doctor confirms that if Rocco wasn’t brought in when he was, he could have at the very least been comatose. Dante leaves his son to go and talk to Gio privately.

Meanwhile, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonozyn) calls Gio for an update. He feels guilty for bringing Rocco to the party, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) takes the phone from Gio and tells Danny she is on her way to him.

She arrives at the boathouse and Danny tells her that he just wanted to have some fun. He convinced Rocco to go with him and then left him to play volleyball.

Carly tells Danny that he was the leader and left his little brother alone. She tells them that he needs to take responsibility by apologizing to Dante and Lulu, and he promises to do so.

Back at GH, Dante has Gio cornered in the hallway with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), refusing to listen to him and instead blaming Gio for Rocco’s drinking.

He threatens to have him arrested, and Lois finally blurts out that he needs to stop because he doesn’t know who Gio really is. Lulu hears the comment and stops dead in her tracks.
