General Hospital Spoilers: “Lois Crosses the Line—Dante Unleashes Fury on Gio!”
Here is your General Hospital recap for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, when Gio felt the wrath of Dante.
What happened on General Hospital
In the GH waiting area, Gio told Dante that he wasn’t with Rocco at the party. He didn’t even know Rocco was there until he was already passed out. Dante asked why Gio didn’t call Rocco’s parents. “Well, I didn’t want to get him in trouble,” Gio said, which only served to anger Dante more.
Gio defended himself, saying he thought if he could sneak Rocco and Danny home, then everything would be okay. “You mean my drunk kid into the Quartermaine boat house,” Dante said. Gio assumed that “sleep and water would do the trick.”
“If something happens to my kid, it’s on you,” Dante warned a distraught Gio. Lois quickly stepped in and told Dante that she understood where he was coming from, but that Gio did what he thought was right. Gio spoke for himself and said he was doing his best to take care of Rocco.
Cody also defended Gio, insisting that Gio was doing a good job when Cody found them. Dante realized that Rocco would have died had Cody not stumbled upon the boys. As Dante laid into Gio some more, the doctor appeared and told Dante and Lulu that they could see Rocco.
The doctor spoke with them as Rocco slept. “Mr. Bell noticing his slow breathing likely saved his life tonight,” the doctor said. Thankfully, Rocco would make a full recovery. When Rocco finally woke, he apologized to his parents for letting them down.
Cody later visited with Rocco, who was worried about how mad his dad was. Cody told Rocco that Dante also did stupid things as a teenager.
Back in the waiting area, Carly listened in as Gio spoke with Danny on the phone. He told Danny that Rocco was in the hospital and had nearly died. Danny blamed himself, but Gio said it was all on him. Carly asked Gio if she could talk to Danny, so Gio handed her his phone. She asked Danny to stay at the boathouse because he was on his way.
When Carly was gone, Lois gave Gio a big hug and told her that Dante was scared out of his mind and didn’t mean the things he said to Gio. “Hey, Gio, you’re a good kid, okay?” Lois said. Gio wasn’t convinced. “Dante doesn’t think so,” he replied.
Dante soon reappeared and asked to talk to Gio privately. Lois followed along to represent Gio. However, Dante needed her to be quiet as he gave Gio the third degree. Dante told Gio he could have him arrested for giving alcohol to a minor. Gio insisted he didn’t give Rocco a drink and didn’t even know that Rocco was there until Danny found him to ask for help.
Dante wondered if Gio was lying, so Lois defended him. Dante didn’t want to hear it and came down on Gio more, telling him he was an adult and needed to start thinking for himself.
“An adult who stood there and watched my teenage, drunken son struggle to breathe. If Cody hadn’t shown up when he did, he could very well be dead right now, and why? Because you were scared to get him in trouble. Come on, man, you should be ashamed of yourself,” Dante spat.
“Stop it. You don’t know what you’re saying. You don’t know who he really is,” Lois blurted out as Lulu listened in.
Carly arrived at the boathouse and assured Danny that Rocco was going to be okay. She asked Danny what happened before telling him that he “had no business going to that party.”
“All I wanted to do was go out and have fun, but before I knew it, things got out of my control,” Danny admitted. He told Carly the party was his idea and he had to convince Rocco to go. Carly urged Danny to tell the adults what happened and take the blame.
“Crashing a college party and drinking? That was stupid. That was really stupid,” she said. Carly pointed out that Jason gives Danny space to be himself, but he needed to earn the trust his dad had placed in him. Carly advised Danny to remember how awful he felt now so he’d never be tempted to do anything like this again.
