Maurice Benard Promises A ‘Fun & Deep’ Podcast – Controversial Guest
Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) from General Hospital (GH) just promised his fans a fun time on his State of Mind podcast soon. His guest will be interesting, as they seemed to have a good time together in the preview. Read on to get more details.
A Good Time Coming On State of Mind?
Maurice is getting more and more popular amid rumors that he might exit the mob. Well, if he does, or even exits the show, then fans won’t have to go far to find him because he hosts his State of Mind podcast. Becoming increasingly interesting, he hosts a lot of good people there who talk about mental health issues.
Soon, someone who isn’t often fun on the daytime drama will make Maurice laugh, cry, and have a fun time.
Who is it? Well, on his Instagram profile post this week, the real-life Sonny Corinthos revealed he will be hosting Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain).
In his caption, Maurice Benard told his GH fans:
There’s not very many people that I know that I’ve been through what @cameronmathison has been through!!! I cried editing this one SO PROUD
Thank you CAM …
That doesn’t sound like a lot of fun. But in his reel, the two ABC actors laughed a lot.
What Happened That Seems Like Fun?
The reel revealed Maurice laughing as he said, “This is State of Mind, this is Cameron Mathison. Wait ’til you see what he did. It’s like… watching a great movie. [It’s] fun and deep.”
Fun and deep sounds very interesting. Often, mental health interviews can be a bit difficult to follow or even triggering. One thing though, ABC fans agree that Benard certainly seems to be growing as host for the often difficult subject.
Most of his podcasts involve an element of coping with mental health. So, there’s a good chance that it will be covered.
Fans React In The Comments
The people who saw the little preview teaser can tune in on YouTube on Sunday at 10 am PST. And, it looks like it will be popular, despite many folks who hate the character of Drew Cain.
One follower wrote, “Laughing, crying, and healing on the same platform…my kinda platform.” So, Maurice Benard rewarded the comment with three red hearts.
Here are a few more reactions:
- I loveee when people play villains too good,
- Cameron is such a great actor! Ya’ gotta be to have the soap audience despise you!
- I love Cameron. I can’t stand Drew right now… but I think he’s really Shiloh. But it also means he’s playing the hell out of his role. Love to you both.
Another fan wrote, “Cameron & you @mauricebenard are the best on State Of Mind.” It’s not the first time that fans of the show will see Cameron on the podcast with Maurice. While you wait for the new podcast this weekend, you can watch a previous episode below.
