General Hospital Sam McCall Survival Story – Could This Twist Revive Kelly Monaco’s Character?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that plenty of viewers are still rooting for a Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) survival story. Could there be a major twist that revives Kelly Monaco’s character?

Monaco’s firing definitely outraged a lot of fans, especially since Sam had been a staple on the ABC soap for so long.

Sam faced a grim fate due to Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) digitalis overdose, but is she really gone forever?

Any demise can be undone in the soap world, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Most viewers are willing to accept any explanation if it means getting a fan favorite back on-screen.

That brings us to Daniel Goddard’s (Professor Henry Dalton) recent social media post about Professor Dalton’s mentor and idol, Sir John Gurdon.

Gurdon is best known for his pioneering research on cloning and nuclear transplantation, so this could be a clue about Professor Dalton’s connection to a cloning story.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a daytime drama went in a wild clone direction.

Could this pave the way for a twist that could bring Sam back to the canvas?

GH fans saw a woman who appeared to be Sam face a grim fate at the hospital, but there’s no proof that was the real Sam!

It’d be easy to rewrite it so a Sam clone was swapped in and died instead.

The real Sam could be in captivity somewhere in desperate need of a rescue.

This feels like the kind of storyline that could have Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) written all over it if he’s alive too thanks to a deceased clone fake-out.

At this point, Sam fans just want to see her back on the show. If it takes some crazy clone drama to make that happen, then so be it.

Of course, there’s always the

possibility that Sam could be recast somewhere down the line, but most viewers would no doubt prefer to see Kelly Monaco in the role again.
