General Hospital’s Michael Recast Is Underway — Here’s How We Know
When Chad Duell stepped away from his General Hospital role of Michael Corinthos back in January, he had to know that when he decided to return, his job might not still be waiting for him.
The door had been left open for the Daytime Emmy winner to walk back through it, but when storyline dictates that his character is needed in Port Charles… well, what’s a show to do? It’s gotta recast.
Or, as executive producer Frank Valentini said at the time, “You never know in daytime.”
Now, it appears, a recast is underway. How can we be so sure?
In a since-deleted social-media post, Robert Adamson, who temporarily replaced Duell several times, snarkily expressed his “gratitude” at not being invited to try out, Parade reports. ‘
“Thanks for having me in to read for the recast of Michael,” said the Young & Restless vet (who himself was recast as Noah Newman).
“Covered the role not once, not twice, but three times without notice or time to physically prepare. But I don’t even get an opportunity to read.”
Yeah, gotta admit that we’d be miffed, too. But if Adamson, who was so well-received as a substitute Michael, isn’t going to be picking up again where Duell left off, who will?
As it happens, we have a few ideas about that. Take a peek at the below photo gallery, a list of familiar faces who might make a great Michael recast.
