Days of our lives spoilers: Melinda’s big mistake, Sophia’s plan failed miserably?

Driven by guilt and a desperate need for redemption, Melinda offers Sophia a plan: they’ll fake an adoption, claiming Sophia is traveling to Chicago to deliver her baby to anonymous adoptive parents.
The entire operation is built on deception—fake legal documents, a burner phone, a fictional lawyer—and Sophia agrees, though clearly shaken. She returns to Salem days later, pale and distant, telling everyone the baby has been safely handed off, but her story is laced with unease.
Her friends, Amry and Tate, begin to suspect something is wrong—her answers are vague, her eyes avoid theirs, and the emotional toll is evident. As doubts grow, Rafe Hernandez begins to investigate, uncovering a suspicious trail of calls and documents connecting back to Melinda.
The web tightens. Social media buzzes with speculation, and the people of Salem begin whispering. When Amry confronts Sophia in Horton Square, demanding the truth, Sophia breaks down under the pressure, just as Melinda appears and warns: this ends now.
With the lie teetering on the edge of collapse, both women face impossible choices—Sophia must deal with the burden of deception and the fear of losing everything, while Melinda must confront the ghosts of her past and decide whether she’ll protect Sophia or finally come clean.
As Salem watches, questions loom: is the baby truly gone? Was there ever an adoption? And when the truth finally surfaces, who will be left standing?

Let’s start off with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Ari Horton (Marissa Reyes). The two high school graduates were supposed to meet Tate at the lake.
When the girls didn’t show up, Tate felt that something was wrong. Of course, he went back to town to find them.
Meanwhile, Holly and Ari have been taken hostage by Doug’s loan shark. The two girls will be in grave danger if Doug doesn’t come through.
In a preview clip, Holly asks what happens if Doug doesn’t come up with the money. That is when the villain brings a knife up to Holly’s flawless face.
