A Birth, a Goodbye…Now Comes the Deception on the July 3 DAYS
In the Thursday, July 3 episode of Days of Our Lives, Xander continued to ponder full custody, but managed to have a conflicted but ultimately civil conversation with Maggie. ‘
Brady, Sarah, and Rachel hung out. Tate and Holly officially reunited. However, Maggie brought up some Tate-sized concerns with her granddaughter. Javi and Leo cared for Tesoro, aka the baby Sophia gave up. And a desperate Sophia turned to Melinda Trask for help.
Lies and Fake Belly Bumps
Sophia (Rachel Boyd) gave birth to her baby alone in her room, and then she gave the baby boy up, leaving him in safe hands at the fire station.
Now it’s time for Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) to help Sophia spin a web of lies that will explain why she’s no longer pregnant and she no longer has the baby when everybody knows there weren’t any adopted parents lined up.
But first, Melinda thankfully gets Sophia to a doctor. She needed to be checked out because what she went through was natural, but also hell on her body. She may have contracted some sort of infection. One never knows.
The former Salem DA told Sophia she would be there for her. She would even pay for the doctor’s appointment if she had to. This way, Amy Choi wouldn’t have to find out about a sudden urgent care or clinic visit.
She also said that she had a plan, and by the end of the episode, we saw that it would involve the no-longer pregnant Sophia wearing a fake belly bump. As a result, they should be able to buy time and “deliver” the baby in a setting, time, and manner that is their choosing.
The Other Affected Parties
Meanwhile, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) solidified their relationship status. They are now back together, even though Tate says he feels guilty, while Sophia is still waiting to give birth.
And even though Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) thinks that Sophia and Tate will have a forever bond that ties them together, despite their planning to give the baby up for adoption. Will this cause Holly to rethink things?
In addition, Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) are currently taking care of Sophia’s baby boy, whom they are now calling Tesoro. Javi already has a look on his face.
He doesn’t want this baby in his life temporarily. He’s thinking long-term here. He has decided to look into getting credentialed as a viable foster parent. Leo’s on board short-term. But what will he think about taking on this responsibility for much longer?
