EJ’s Past Crime Resurfaces
James Scott stepped into the role of EJ DiMera in 2006, succeeding the child actors who previously portrayed the character. As the offspring of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), EJ was always on a path to chaos.
In the early 2000s, he developed feelings for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), who found herself caught between EJ and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo).
In 2006, EJ escalated his pursuit of Sami by blackmailing her into a sexual encounter, threatening to let Lucas die unless she complied.
This led to Sami becoming pregnant with twins—one conceived with EJ and the other with Lucas (a bizarre situation, unless the paternity test was manipulated!).

Recently, Sami and EJ’s son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), uncovered the unsettling truth about the circumstances surrounding his conception.
He faced off against his father, but Johnny isn’t the only one harboring a grudge against EJ. Several residents of Salem were shown in a recent preview, brandishing firearms; EJ is not well-liked.
Alison Sweeney will return as Sami soon, but it’s unclear whether her comeback will coincide with Drake Hogestyn’s (John Black) farewell or the ongoing EJ plot.
The main suspects include Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow), Johnny, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), all of whom have motives.
Ava Made A Questionable Move On Her Way Out Of Salem But Fans Think It Was Little Rachel
Ava’s status as a suspect is uncertain after the actress announced her departure from the show, despite her character disposing of a gun in her last appearance.
While it seems improbable that the show would reveal the shooter so quickly, it’s also possible that Ava left Salem because she was involved!
Fans believe the characters wielding guns were distractions from the real shooter: Rachel Black-she is the daughter of Kristen and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and has a history of troublesome behavior.
Rachel may be young, but she has certainly found herself in a fair amount of trouble; she’s returning to Salem later this month, now portrayed by a new actress.
As reported by TV Line, Alice Halsey will take over the role from Finley Rose Slater, making it an intriguing moment for her comeback.

Speculation arises about why the young girl would shoot EJ-one fan suggested, “Little Rachel discovered that EJ had kidnapped her grandmother, which made her angry enough to shoot him.”
Many others believe that Rachel is the shooter-one noted, “I believe it’s Rachel—EJ was at eye level with the shooter while sitting, and his tone was annoyed but not hostile.”
Another fan added, “I agree, and I think they might repeat the storyline from when EJ was shot before, with either Brady or Kristen taking the blame for her. That would be similar to what Lucas did when young Will Horton (Chandler Massey) shot him around 2007.” Another fan thought it would be intriguing if Roman were involved, giving his character more depth after being sidelined for the past few years.”
