So Heartbreaking, Julie Chrisley Just Confirmed What We All Were Suspected!
The TV dynasty’s new series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, delves into the scandals and setbacks that have plagued the family since Julie and her husband Todd were sentenced to federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.
But financial crimes are just one piece of the puzzle that has bedeviled the family for over a decade — another just as vexing is a bombshell allegation made by Mark Braddock, a former business partner of Todd’s during the fraud trial
“During the trial, Mark made claims that he had a relationship with my father. We were all like, ‘You’ve got to be effing kidding me,” explained Savannah, Todd and Julie’s eldest daughter.
Julie recalled that when she heard Mark allege that he and Todd had engaged in an extramarital affair — and that Todd paid him off to keep him quiet after it ended — “that wasn’t the first time that I’d heard it.
Mark tried this years before, and I told him, ‘If you had something you’d produce it. If you have proof, produce it.
But I wasn’t concerned, because I know who I’m married to. At the end of the day, okay, you can think whatever you want of him, because he knows who he is.”

Bill Rawlings, a friend of Todd’s, explained in the third episode of Back to Reality that the former real estate tycoon “met Mark at a parent-teacher meeting… well before” the premiere of the series that would launch the family to notoriety: Chrisley Knows Best.
Todd brought him aboard his company, Chrisley Asset Management, where he quickly assumed a critical role. “Mark had access to all of our homes, [had] extra sets of keys to our cars, boats. He paid all of our bills, had all of our logins. He had access to everything,” Todd shared in a phone call from prison.
Todd’s mother, Nanny Faye Chrisley, remembered Mark as even more than just a coworker. “Mark and his family was just almost like the Chrisley family. I thought that Mark was almost like Todd, and my other son.”
Savannah underscored the depth of the connections between the Braddocks and the Chrisleys: “Literally my parents had in their will that if they were to die in a plane crash their minor children would go to this individual, that’s how much they trusted him,” she claimed.
While Braddock’s first public allegation of an extramarital relationship with Todd came in 2022, as part of his cooperation with the FBI in their case against the Chrisleys, the resulting trial revealed that the blood between them turned bad much earlier.
Todd’s lawyer during the trial alleged that Braddock sought “protection and revenge” after Todd fired him in 2012. So he told the FBI that Todd had committed bank fraud, which the Chrisleys insisted was actually Braddock’s crime.
Todd and Julie Chrisley were ultimately sentenced to 12 and seven years in federal prison, respectively, but ended up serving under three due to a pardon from President Donald Trump in May.

Regarding Braddock’s infidelity allegations, Todd noted in a phone call from prison in Back to Reality, “It’s important to understand that in the position in we’re in, scandal sells.
Fifty-seven years and he’s the only one who has made these allegations, ever, having a relationship with me like that.”
Savannah shared that “our lawyer said it best: Where’s the text messages? Where’s the phone calls? Where’s the letters? Where’s anything? ‘I don’t have it.’
Well, that’s interesting, you have hundreds of thousands of other documents that you allege are evidence, but you don’t have a single text message of this alleged love affair? I don’t buy it.”
While the Chrisleys survived the allegations and survived prison too, Nanny Faye said the family are still reeling from the impact of it all.
“I cannot believe that he would want to destroy us like he did with his lies,” she said of Braddock. “He knows, anyone that watches this knows, that I am telling the truth, and he destroyed us with his lies.”
Entertainment Weekly has attempted to reach Braddock for comment.
