Todd Chrisley Reveals His Dark ‘Sole Intent’ While in Prison
A prison sentence is meant to serve as a punishment for crimes, but it’s also a place for rehabilitation. The more we hear about Todd Chrisley’s time in prison, the clearer it becomes that he didn’t do any of those things.
During a recent episode of Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast, the Chrisley Knows Best alum reflected on his time behind bars. It doesn’t sound like he spent much time reflecting on what got him there. Instead, his time made him feel vindictive, and he took it out on the employees.
Todd Chrisley wanted to make prison employees miserable
Todd, who vowed to help improve the “evil” prison system following his release, said that his “sole intent” while behind bars was to make the prison employees feel miserable. As if their jobs weren’t already difficult and underpaid, Todd said he wanted to make things worse. He’s truly a class act, said no one.
“I was surrounded by miserable human beings,” Todd told his daughter on her podcast.
He continued, “Every day, I got up and it was my sole intent to make their life even more miserable because they were there to make our lives miserable.”
Todd served his prison sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida. He entered the facility in January 2023 before being pardoned by the President earlier this year.
Apparently, the employees at the camp weren’t the only people catching hell from Todd. He also recalled an ongoing feud he had with Rick Singer, the mastermind behind the infamous college admissions scandal. Supposedly, Rick said some nasty things about Savannah after Todd called him a “snitch.”

“I was like, ‘I don’t need you to be afraid of me. Just be aware that if my daughter’s name comes out of your mouth again, I will rip your head off and sh*t down your neck,’” Todd recalled of their tense exchange.
Clearly, prison transformed Todd in an unexpected way. Expect to learn even more about this 28-month stay in the Chrisleys’ upcoming Lifetime series. Cameras started rolling before they even got out of prison.
Chrisley Knows Best is streaming on Peacock.
