Nearly a week after the Chrisley Knows Best alums were released from prison after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump, their daughter Savannah Chrisley shared insight into what their first days back at home looked like.

“Yesterday was really fun,” Savannah said on a June 3 episode of her Unlocked podcast, which she recorded two days after her parents’ release. “I cooked dinner for my entire family. I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes—we had a smorgasbord. My parents enjoyed it and loved it.”

Ahead of their family press conference May 30, during which Savannah and Todd publicly detailed their commitment to fighting against his prior convictions that “should not have happened,” the father-daughter duo also took a trip to Nordstrom to buy him a new suit for the occasion.

But while they were there, they realized they were not alone.

“We thought we were in the clear,” Savannah recalled. “But no, the press followed us and were chasing us around.”

“It was comical,” she continued, adding that she immediately posted a few pics of her dad on Instagram. “I was like, ‘I’m not going to let them get the first picture. No, not happening.’”

And for his part, Todd handled the press with humor and grace.

“We had fun with that whole journey,” the 27-year-old quipped. “Dad has not lost his sense of humor. He’s still as funky as ever.”

As for what Julie—who was noticeably absent from their family press conference—chose to do with her first few days of freedom? She opted to soak up some quality time with her and Todd’s adopted daughter Chloe.

“Mom’s been at home,” Savannah—who diligently advocated for her parents’ release—shared, “doing laundry, spending time with Chloe [and] me.”

Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley, whom the reality star shares with ex Teresa Terry. Todd and Julie adopted Chloe in 2016 while Kyle—who has been estranged from his father in recent years—was struggling with substance abuse.

“The first morning she was home,” Savannah continued, “we lay on my bed and just went through my Instagram, and I just caught her up on all the posts and videos and everything that’s gone on since she left. It was really cool to see her reactions and catch her up on life.”
