Todd Chrisley’s Daughter Lindsie Landsman Slams Family Following Launch Of Lifetime’s ‘The Chrisleys: Back To Reality’
Lindsie Chrisley is opening up about the complicated relationship she has with her family, as well as the backlash she’s allegedly received as a result of comments her family has made about her on their new Lifetime reality series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.
As fans know, Lindsie is the daughter of Todd Chrisley and stepdaughter of Julie Chrisley. For years, Lindsie appeared alongside her family on Chrisley Knows Best before going on to exit the show after Season 5. The Chrisley’s reality series was ultimately canceled after Todd and Julie were convicted of tax evasion and fraud crimes in June 2022, with Todd being sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and Julie receiving a seven-year sentence.\

The Chrisley family made their return to TV this year on ‘Back to Reality’, joined by their children Savannah, Chase, Grayson and Chloe. The reality series premiered on Lifetime just three months after Todd and Julie received a full pardon from President Donald Trump, at which point the two were released from prison.
While Lindsie has been estranged from many members of the Chrisley family for years– save for a brief reconciliation that occurred right before Todd and Julie reported to prison– she revealed this week that she’s been on the receiving end of some serious backlash from fans due to comments her family has made about her on their show, despite Lindsie not being involved in the project herself.
In Part 1 of a three-part podcast crossover, Lindsie told listeners of her The Southern Tea podcast that she hasn’t watched “any of the footage” from her family’s show, as she was “instructed by multiple people” she works with to avoid doing so for the sake of her mental health. Instead, Lindsie said some of these people have watched the show and documented certain things that they felt she would “need to know.”
While she isn’t tuning in to watch the show herself, Lindsie said she still saw “a lot” of the content from the series on social media, where she was also allegedly receiving cruel messages from the show’s fans “based off of the narrative that was on the show.”
“That has put me in a very emotional place to the point that I completely took myself off of social media altogether for the past seven weeks because I’m driving my kid to school and get him dropped off at school and realize that people are telling me to kill myself,” she claimed.
As The Ashley previously told you, Lindsie’s estranged half-siblings Savannah and Grayson claimed on an episode of ‘Back to Reality’ that aired last month that Lindsie had cooperated with investigators and that her actions led to Todd and Julie being sent to prison.
“During the sentencing, we learned that before they tried to reconcile, Lindsie wrote to the FBI,” Savannah stated in the episode. “The moment the prosecutors read the letter, my dad broke and just tears were just falling on the table and I was sitting to where I was diagonal so I could see him and it was the most heartbreaking thing in the entire world. Not only was he looking at federal prison for, potentially, the rest of his life, but also his child helped to put him there and the government put emphasis on that that day and I will never forget his face. It was heartbreaking.”
(According to documents obtained by The Daily Mail, Lindsie reached out to the Georgia Department of Revenue in 2017– after Todd and Julie had already learned that they were under investigation by the agency– because she was worried what a case against the Chrisleys could mean for herself and her young son, Jackson.)
Lindsie was also accused on ‘Back to Reality’ of going to the authorities because she was jealous of the “nuclear family” Todd and Julie had with their children. Savannah also recalled on an episode the allegedly heated confrontation that happened between Julie and Lindsie, which she claimed led to Lindsie being fired from ‘Chrisley Knows Best.’ (This incident allegedly happened around the time that Lindsie claimed Todd and Chase learned about a sex tape featuring her and former Bachelorette contestant Robby Hayes, which the father and son were threatening to release via cryptic social media posts.)
Both Savannah and Grayson have stated on the series that they’re unwilling to forgive Lindsie for her past actions, with Savannah even demanding that her half-sister “lose our last name”– something Lindsie acted on in July when she announced on her podcast that she had started using her boyfriend David Landsman’s last name. (Lindsie has since changed her name back to “Lindsie Chrisley” on social media.)
On Part 1 of the podcast crossover, Lindsie also provided some context to the multiple estrangements she’s had with her family over the years– the first of which occurred in 2009 when she was in college. Despite the tumultuous relationship she’s had– and continues to have– with most of her family, Lindsie maintained this week that she “never had any intention” of sharing her side of the story until her family began publicly sharing their version.
“The Lifetime documentary of my family came out … and a lot of the things that were aired were inaccurate depictions of what has transpired,” she said, as reported by Deadline.
