Why Drew takes Kai’s life, the anger destroys everything – General Hospital Spoilers

Even with two bullets lodged in his body, Drew Cain managed to keep his composure, almost as if the pain was secondary to the strategic advantage he thought he’d gained.

In his mind, the attack wasn’t just an attempt on his life—it was an opportunity. If he played it right, he could use the chaos to narrow down his enemies and expose those working against him.

General Hospital Spoilers: Kai Blames Drew When He Suffers A Major Setback - General Hospital Tea

In the latest General Hospital episode, Drew turned to Martin Grey, hoping the savvy attorney could block the PCPD from getting access to his safe.

Drew knew all too well that if the wrong set of eyes landed on those documents, his leverage—and his control—would vanish.

Martin, reluctant at first, eventually nodded in agreement once Drew promised to resolve Stella’s looming legal troubles. For now, their interests were aligned, even if trust between them remained fragile.

But Martin wasn’t the only one who wanted answers. When he pressed Drew about why that safe was so untouchable, Drew revealed the truth: it contained damaging information about Portia Robinson.

Blackmail. Evidence that could bend Portia to his will and keep her bound by his terms. To Drew, those papers weren’t just documents—they were power. And as long as they stayed hidden, Portia’s future was his to dictate.

What Drew doesn’t know, however, is that his so-called trump card is already gone. In a daring move, Trina and Kai broke into his house last week and spirited away Portia’s files, determined to protect her and put an end to Drew’s manipulations once and for all.

General Hospital Spoilers, June 19: Drew Cain makes the wrong enemy

For now, Drew remains blind to their scheme, convinced the papers are safe and waiting for him to use. But that illusion won’t last.

Soon, he’ll realize the documents are missing. And when he does, suspicion will fall squarely on Kai—the only person with a key to Drew’s private office.

The betrayal will cut deep, especially since Drew had once trusted the young man. Scout’s father won’t take kindly to being made a fool of, and his fury could easily turn lethal.

Worse still, Drew may begin to believe that Kai was also the one who pulled the trigger that left him bleeding.

If so, Kai isn’t just in danger of legal consequences—he may soon find himself facing Drew’s personal brand of revenge. The question haunting viewers now: will Kai survive Drew Cain’s wrath, or has he already signed his death warrant?
