General Hospital Spoilers: Scout Heartbroken, Blames Drew For Not Seeing Monica Before Her Death
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that, considering how much Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) has begged Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to see Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) recently, will she resent him when she learns she didn’t get to see her grandmother before her death?
Scout has had a very hard year with loss, and her grandmother Monica’s demise is sure to rock her little world.
What’s even more heartbreaking is how she pleaded with Drew to allow her to see Monica (and the rest of her family), only for him to continually fluff her off.
In fact, when she got Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) to pick her up from camp and bring her to the Q’s, Drew cut that visit short.
While the little girl was hoping to see Monica, he quickly moved her along, “promising” he would allow her to see her grandmother another time.
While everyone around Scout has done their best not to put her father down in front of her, despite his despicable actions, the girl is pretty smart and observant.
She’s starting to see that Drew isn’t the hero he once was. Scout is as sweet as they come, but when she finds out that Monica has passed, will she lash out at her dad?
He’s kept her away from her extended family, and in her alienation, Scout has become desperate.
She concocted a plan twice to escape camp – once with the help of Danny and another time thanks to Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) – to see Danny, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), and the Qs, so will she do something more drastic when she learns of Monica’s passing?
Could Scout run away? Could she tell her dad she no longer wants to live with him? Could she tell someone else she doesn’t want to live with Drew anymore?
What would her Uncle Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) do if she begged for his protection?
Not seeing Monica one last time could unleash something in Scout to never want to be around Drew again.
Then there’s the chance that Scout asks Drew to attend Monica’s memorial, and he refuses the little girl.
GH spoilers for the September 19 episode state that Danny is set to plead with Drew about something, so perhaps he asks his uncle to allow his sister to come to Monica’s funeral.
Regardless, Drew’s attempts to keep his daughter away from the rest of her family may end up biting him in the butt.
