The Young and the Restless Tuesday, September 16 Recap | Y&R 09/16/2025
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, September 16, reveals that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will reject Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) Paris getaway while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) gets jealous over Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
At Crimson Lights, Kyle will try to sell Claire on the idea of taking a trip to Paris. After Kyle plays it up as a way to reconnect and ditch all the Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) drama, he’ll run down the list of all the places they can visit.
Part of Claire will seem intrigued, but another part of her will worry Kyle just wants to run away from their problems.
Claire will fear that Kyle thinks if he dangles the right shiny object in front of her, she’ll forget about her lack of trust and move on.
Kyle will apologize since he keeps doing the wrong thing when he just wants to fix this and get their relationship back on track.
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will eventually pop up with an apology of his own and will act like he overstepped recently, but Claire won’t think that’s the case.
Holden will also mention his upcoming trip to Los Angeles to wrap things up over there and finish moving Arabesque’s operations to Genoa City.
Kyle will suspect Holden never stopped working for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), but Holden will insist he was fired and rehired.
After Claire walks away to take a phone call, Kyle will call Holden out for trying to make himself look like the good guy in Claire’s eyes.
At Society, Chelsea and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will speculate about Abbott Communications’ failed launch and debate how much control Sally actually has as CEO with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) micromanaging.
At Billy’s place, Sally will hint about trying to talk Billy out of his latest scheme, but his mind will be made up.
Billy will work to convince Sally that threatening to use the AI software will be enough to get him Chancellor and the funding for Abbott Communications.
Sally will argue that it’s just as dangerous to threaten Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) – not to mention Cane will be angry if Billy goes against his wishes.
Billy will act like everything’s going to fall into place, but Sally will worry about all the ways this could backfire.
Sally will lash out over Billy changing all their plans after she left Marchetti to run Abbott Communications with him.
Since Billy is being selfish and only cares about his vengeful obsessions, Sally will insist she’s not part of that picture and doesn’t want to be.
After Sally walks out on Billy, she’ll get a text from Audra asking “what the hell” is going on now that the launch isn’t happening.
Sally will run into Adam and Chelsea next, so she’ll mention that she’s no longer with Abbott Communications.
Adam will assume Billy tossed Sally out like he tossed out Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and will fly into a rage, but Sally will act like it just wasn’t working out.
Back with Billy, he’ll call Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) to postpone meeting with them about that thing he wanted to talk about.
Billy will mean Sally’s move-in since he’ll hint to the kids about what he wanted to discuss not happening after all.
Afterward, Sally will take Billy’s phone call, so he’ll wonder if she’s walking away from the business or their relationship, too.
Unfortunately, Sally won’t know the answer on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, so that news will further upset Billy.
When Cane calls, Billy will fling his phone down in frustration.
At Newman Media, Adam will continue to seethe over Billy’s treatment of Sally and will gush about all her talent.
Chelsea will seem jealous as she shuts down Adam’s praise and insists she gets that he’s a fan.
Chelsea will point out that they don’t know exactly what happened, so she won’t be as willing to blame Billy.
That’ll frustrate Adam since he won’t understand why Chelsea’s always giving Billy the benefit of the doubt.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Adam will have to work through their Billy issues, so stay tuned for updates on their attempt to move forward.
