‘General Hospital’ Cameron Mathison Breaks Silence About Drew’s Shooting

This week on General Hospital , fans saw Drew get shot, and now Cameron Mathison is speaking out about what is next. So what is going to happen with Drew? Well, Cameron already shared that he isn’t leaving the soap opera. So, that pretty much sums up that Drew should survive.

What Happened To Cameron Mathison’s Character, Drew Cain?

Fans saw Drew Cain get shot, but they didn’t reveal who did it. This means we are going to have a good storyline about who shot Drew.

He has been playing a villain for a while now, and nobody likes him. That means that the suspect list is huge, and there is no telling who shot Drew.  He was shot in the back twice.

Willow and Drew just got back together so she could try to get custody of her kids again. Could it have something to do with this? Maybe it does.

Cameron Mathison Speaks Out

Cameron Mathison is now speaking out about what is going on with Drew. He explained that they had to make everyone hate Drew. Here is what he had to say:

“Obviously, everybody hates me like crazy, but at the same time, they had to do that for the last four or five months. They can’t just have people not like me.

They have to have people want to kill me! And in order to have multiple people want to kill you, you’ve got to be pretty despicable — and they’ve done a really good job with that with Drew.”

He went on to explain that it helped him to get away from some of the drama in his personal life. Cameron lost his home in the wildfires, and his marriage ended. This is what he revealed:

“I try to be a really nice human and a good, solid person in my life and I’ve gone through a lot of big life challenges in a very short stretch of time. I go to work and get to be such a jerk — it’s almost like my little fantasy escape. I don’t know if it’s good for my psyche or not, but I’ve really leaned into it.”

He is super excited about this storyline and compared it to who shot JR on Dallas years ago. Cameron knew that the viewers would love seeing Drew get shot, now we just have to figure out who did it.
