R.I.P., Ric? General Hospital Puts Rick Hearst’s Character Down… Maybe for the Count
Oh, Ava. The General Hospital femme fatale should know by now that violence is never the answer.
But upon learning in the August 25 episode that not only had partner in crime Ric frozen her bank accounts but drained them as well, she clocked him upside the head with a globe.
Would this be a bad time to remind Ava that Nina had warned her about her ex-husband?
Is This the End of Ric… or Just of His and Ava’s Affair?
Personally, we thought that Ric and Ava made a fantastically fun scheme team. But maybe they were just too naughty by nature to ever make a real go of a relationship.
The first chance they got, they started blackmailing Alexis with the intel that they had about her daughter Kristina cutting the brake lines on Ava’s car.
From there, it only took a hot minute for their greedy nature to take control. Ava spent way too much, and Ric wasn’t about to let the gravy train stop rolling before he’d had his fill.
So he’d tied up the fortune they’d amassed in treasury bonds with the intention of leaving his lover high and dry.
Can you imagine what Elizabeth would have to say about that? Any chance you had with her, Ric, you just reduced to nil.
That is, if Ric even lives. As the episode came to a close, he was lying on the floor with blood in his hair. Do you think he’s really a goner?
That’s when Ava appears and tells Ric they’ve both been played by Kristina, who has been working to turn them against one another. As Ava and Kristina argue, Ric tells them both that the blackmail game is over.
