General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, August 20, 2025 tease bad news about Maxie and a new client for Alexis.

The biggest shock of the week (so far) has been Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) collapse. During her live segment on Home & Heart, moments after trying Deception’s new Youth Truth serum, the fashionista staggered around the set and collapsed, shocking her Deception co-workers. As Lucas (Van Hansis) tends to an ailing Maxie, spoilers reveal he’ll have bad news to share.
At the same time, Lulu (Alexa Havins) is said to be shaken. She’ll most likely be shaken over her best friend’s medical emergency, and whatever update Lucas has for Maxie’s loved ones.
Alexis Steps Up
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been debating her own legal battle recently now that Drew (Cameron Mathison) has threatened to keep Scout (Cosette Abinante) from her family. Alexis wants to fight for her granddaughter, but now, she may have a new project taking up her time.
Spoilers not that she will be taking on a new client, but who? Considering Martin (Michael E. Knight) is a suspect and Diane is too busy saving Michael (Rory Gibson) from Drew’s wrath, it’s Stella (Vernee Watson) who will need Alexis’ expertise after being questioned about insurance claim fraud.
Anna’s Got A Theory
Meanwhile in Port Charles, Anna (Finola Hughes) will float a new theory. This could be about a number of things: Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) being alive, what Drew is up to after ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) gave the commissioner some intel, Maxie’s collapse, or Emma’s (Braedyn Bruner) ultimate plan to take down Dalton (Daniel Goddard).
It may be the latter, considering at the same time, Emma will confide in Gio (Giovanni Mazza) presumably about her new plan for going after the professor.
