Maxie was poisoned by a relative, cosmetics containing medicine created by Maxie himself GH Spoilers
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Maxie Jones will be exiting the canvas this week as Kirsten Storms takes a hiatus from the ABC soap, so will Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) have the mom of three drugged and kidnapped?
Fans know Sidwell knows that Maxie was the one lady within the Deception crew who wanted to come forward and rat Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) out for the dirty money invested in Deception, which makes her a liability.
Maxie, along with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), and Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton), all had a team meeting as to whether they should alert the police.
At first, Tracy was ‘all-in’ to go to the PCPD; however, Sidwell helped convince her to refrain from doing so.
In addition, Sidwell learned from Lucy that Maxie was the only person within the leadership team to vote against ‘not going to the police”, which leaves Maxie in a very precarious position.
The GH preview video for the week of August 18-22 was just released, and the very last clip is one where Maxie is placing a Deception brand skincare cream on her cheek.
The scene shows Maxie doing the demo, as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) chats it up with Home and Heart host, Flora Gardens (Susan Batten).
The Deception ladies are back on the show, and as fans know, it’s always a recipe for drama whenever the cosmetics brand does one of these live segments.
The promo shows Brook Lynn watching from the side of the set and off-camera.
BLQ instantly screams as she watches Maxie immediately collapse after applying the cream.
Maxie is going to be off canvas for months, and likely won’t return until the end of this year, possibly early 2026, so the GH team needs a solid storyline for her exit as Kirsten Storms moves from Los Angeles to Tennessee.
It seems pretty obvious that there will be a toxic substance in the face cream cosmetic that triggers a medical emergency for Maxie, and there’s also a good chance that Sidwell is behind it.
He can’t chance Maxie’s conscience getting the better of her enough to spill the beans about the illegal transfers, and he’s also aware that Maxie’s stepdad, Mac Scorpio (John J. York), also happens to be a head honcho over at the PCPD.
Could Sidwell concoct a plan to ensure Maxie stays quiet? There are so many ways this could all unravel.
One obvious one is kidnapping Maxie to keep her quiet, whether her death is faked or she’s stolen at some point, while travelling to the hospital.
Another idea is that the drugged cream could cause Maxie to fall into a coma, which would be triggering to say the least, considering her best friend, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), just woke up after being in a coma for four years!
But a coma certainly would accomplish the goal of getting Maxie out of storylines in a shocking fashion, as fans wait for her splashy return!
There’s been some speculation that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is the ‘mystery man’ behind the research lab project that Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is conducting, not to mention the work Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is doing at 5 Poppies.
As such, this may be another reason Sidwell ‘keeps Maxie quiet’ in non-fatal ways.
While Peter and Maxie weren’t on the best of terms leading up to his demise in 2022, he was obsessed with her, and she still is the mother of his child, Bailey Jones (Miley & Riley Plonski).
The last thing Sidwell would want to do is rub his investing partner the wrong way by offing Peter’s baby momma, right?
General Hospital spoilers hint that fans will be on the edge of their seats as Maxie departs from the canvas, so it’ll be interesting to see how she exits storylines during the week of August 18-22.
