GH Spoilers: Laura Wright Reveals ‘Who Shot Drew’ Mystery with J.R. Ewing Instagram Clue?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) may have just hinted at a “Who shot Drew” mystery with a J.R. Ewing Instagram clue. Will GH take a page out of Dallas’ playbook and put Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) at the center of a shocking whodunit?
In an Instagram story, Laura Wright offered up some praise for Mathison’s recent scenes with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis).
Drew and Alexis had a fierce faceoff that entertained fans right along with Wright.
However, Wright’s comments also stirred up some suspicion about where Drew’s storyline might be headed.
The show could be planning a major mystery with Drew at the center of it – at least depending on how you want to interpret what Wright said.
“These scenes were so good!!!! Cameron you’re the new JR Ewing !!! Haaa. Woo hooo,” Wright declared.
Of course, Wright was referring to J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) from Dallas, the primetime soap that got everyone talking with the famous “Who shot J.R.” cliffhanger back in 1980.
J.R. was a ruthless villain who had it coming, so there was no shortage of suspects when that mystery played out.
If GH writers want to tell a similar story with Drew, it’ll be very easy for them to do.
It’s interesting that Laura Wright chose to bring up J.R. Ewing considering how many people have heard and used that “Who shot J.R.” catchphrase over the years.
Could Wright be hinting at someone pulling the trigger on Drew as well since he’s got a ton of vengeful enemies?
Time will tell, but plenty of viewers have been rooting for Drew to face a downfall for a while now.
Drew deserves a real comeuppance, so having someone pump a bullet or two in him seems fitting.
We should also point out that J.R. survived the “Who shot J.R.” storyline on Dallas.
Drew could survive a shooting story of his own if one indeed gets underway in the not-too-distant future.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Drew’s foes could rise up against him, so we’ll bring you updates on any whodunit news that might be looming.
