Is There a Dangerous Puppetmaster Behind Britt’s GH Resurrection?
Kelly Thiebaud discussed working with Marc Forget, who plays Pascal and seems to be restricting her movements at the Five Poppies resort.
On General Hospital, Jason has been on the hunt to prove Britt was alive after spotting a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her at the airport.
Although he doesn’t know it, she is indeed alive and staying at a resort spa in Croatia called the Five Poppies.
The concierge, Pascal, seems intent on preventing her from leaving, and hints at a man who seems to be pulling the strings. Thiebaud opened up about working with Marc Forget, who plays Pascal.
Resort or Prison?
In January 2023, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seemingly died at the hands of the Hook serial killer. She was headed out of Port Charles so that her friends and family didn’t have to watch her die from Huntington’s disease.
Now, she’s turned up alive and is even working in a secret lab in Croatia, with the WSB tracing a courier that brought her a backpack with unknown contents.
Thiebaud spoke with Soap Opera Digest to discuss this intriguing turn of events for a presumed dead woman. “I think Britt is in a bit of a pickle,” she said.
“I don’t think she is necessarily living the life she wants to live, but she is living.” When Britt tried leaving the resort, Pascal prevented her on orders of a powerful and mysterious man who doesn’t want her to leave. Pascal also seems to be her handler, so something nefarious is definitely afoot.
He’s Embracing the Soap Life
Britt seems to have faked her own death, and her time at the Five Poppies resort/lab is connected to Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard), a PCU teacher who’s secretly working on cold fusion.
The resort seems to be connected not only to Dalton’s work, but also to the care management for her Huntington’s disease. Thiebaud said she loves working with Forget. “
He’s really been so intrigued by how everything works on General Hospital because I think he did a small co-star role on one of the shows or something, but he’s never had to work this much on a soap.”
Forget has been all over the TV dial and had a couple of small parts on soaps, including playing a trucker on As The World Turns in 2002.
She further explained that Forget is completely intrigued by the way soaps are created, and is impressed after watching the actors work. On top of that, she added, “He’s so much fun and easy to talk to and easy to play off of. I love him so much!”
