Mystery Solved! Did Cane Catch A Kɪʟʟᴇʀ on Y&R?

Hold on to your bourbon, Young and the Restless fans because Cane may have just cracked a murder mystery wide open during the Friday, July 25 episode! While Nick was bleeding out in the holding room, Cane took a sharp detour straight into detective territory. And now? He might be the reason a killer’s days in the shadows are numbered.

The Butler Did It!

Cane (Billy Flynn) pulled no punches when he cornered Carter (Vincent Stalba) — yep, the shady butler who has had everyone on edge since coming to the sprawling estate.

As it turns out, the butler is knee-deep in secrets with a golden boy shine. Cane was onto him, though! With Amanda (Mishael Morgan) barking legal objections, Cane swore her off with a casual “I’ll fill you in,” then dove straight into interrogation mode.

What did he want? The truth about the night Damian (Jermaine River) died — and the knife Carter tried to hide.

What followed was less of a confession and more of a nervous tap dance. Carter insisted that Cane wasn’t a killer, which Cane, of course, took as a compliment.

But when the subject of that conveniently stashed knife came up, Carter’s explanations got shaky. And when Cane pointed out that Carter had the access to the cameras and his private bourbon stash — things got even messier. How did Nick (Joshua Morrow) get those things if Carter wasn’t involved?

Good Help Is Hard To Find

And let’s not forget that bomb Cane dropped: maybe Carter wasn’t covering for Cane…maybe he was trying to right a wrong. Could it be that Carter saw something ugly between Damian and Lily and decided to take justice into his own hands? Did the butler go that far to keep Lily (Christel Khalil) single for his boss’s sake?

Of course, Carter didn’t exactly confess…but he didn’t deny it either. Instead, he launched into a speech about how much he appreciates all Cane has done for him.

Carter’s tear-filled gratitude? That was cute. But Cane wasn’t buying it. This wasn’t a lovefest, this was a murder investigation. And what Carter doesn’t know is that Victor and Chance were lurking in the maze, hearing every shady little word. If Carter blinked wrong, it’s game over.

So did Cane catch a killer? We’re not calling it yet, but let’s just say that if Carter didn’t kill Damian, he’s doing a terrible job proving it.

And if he did? Cane just kicked open the door for The Great Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) brand of justice. Keep your eyes on Cane — because this man might’ve just cracked the case and exposed a killer hiding in plain sight.
