The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview video for the week of July 28-August 1 reveals that Carter (Vincent Stalba) will take Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) hostage at gunpoint before the body count rises in Nice.

Once Carter confesses to killing Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), he’ll realize Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have been listening nearby.

Carter will no doubt accuse Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) of setting a trap and will ultimately act like Cane’s ungrateful for everything he’s done for him.

Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Carter pulling a gun on Lily as Cane and Chance panic.

Cane then warns Carter that he’s only going to make it worse for himself, but Carter disagrees.

“How could I make it worse? It was all for you! And now you wanna lock me up? I’ll find my way out of here,” Carter declares in the preview clip.

There’ll be at least one more dead character by the end of all this, so will Carter get shot in a struggle?

Regardless, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get the authorities involved, so Cane will let her know she did the right thing.

Amanda will mention that the bodies will be taken to the coroner’s office and that the case is pretty much closed, so she’ll think Cane is in the clear.

“Am I?” Cane asks in the weekly preview video.

It’s obvious that Cane will deal with some guilt over this whole situation.

Carter was Cane’s employee, so he’ll feel responsible for Damian’s grim fate and will eventually fling everything off his desk in a fit of rage.

On the train later, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will sit with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as he continues to face pain over his recent injury.

You can bet Nikki will fume over the news that the house arrest chaos put Nick’s life at stake.

Victor, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will also be there when cell service is suddenly restored to all their phones.

Sharon will wonder why this is happening now, so Victor will have a feeling it’s because Cane knows he’s lost!

Victor will add that they’re going to “get the hell out” of there, so the France storyline is definitely winding down.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be more drama to contend with once Cane makes his way back to GC with the others, so stay tuned for updates on all the mayhem.
