Chrisleys in Tears Over Daughter’s Sacrifices, Vow to “Save” Others After Pardon

Columbia, South Carolina – In their first joint interview since being granted presidential pardons, a tearful Todd and Julie Chrisley expressed profound gratitude for their daughter, Savannah, who they credit with securing their freedom and holding their family together during their incarceration.

The reality television couple, pardoned last month by President Donald Trump for their convictions on financial crimes, opened up about the emotional toll of their absence and their plans for a new chapter

“She was there when I couldn’t be,” a visibly emotional Todd Chrisley shared during a sit-down with Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara, for a Fox News special. “How do you say thank you to someone who gives you your freedom back?”

The patriarch of the “Chrisley Knows Best” family was unequivocal about his daughter’s pivotal role. “Would you be here today without your daughter?” Lara Trump asked. “Absolutely not,” Todd responded without hesitation. “We would not be here first without God taking a hold of her life and guiding her footsteps.”

While her parents served their sentences, 27-year-old Savannah Chrisley became the primary caretaker for her younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe. “I have two kids to take care of, I have myself I have to take care of. I’ve tried to put myself in a position to where the kids’ lives don’t change,” Savannah explained of shouldering the immense responsibility.

The weight of the situation was not lost on her parents. “I literally just sat down in the floor and wept that my child would have to go through this to save me,” Todd confessed. “As a parent, it’s your job to save your child, not your child to save the parent. She not only was advocating…she was also raising two children. She was also being a parent.”

The couple confirmed they have spoken with President Donald Trump since their release. “All I could say was thank you,” Todd recounted of his conversation. “You have reunited me with my family and you have saved us.”

Now, the Chrisleys are focused on the future. They have already begun filming a new reality show for Lifetime, which will document their reunion and their transition back to life outside of prison.

The series will reportedly follow their return to South Carolina with plans to open a hotel. “We started filming literally the night that we got home,” Savannah revealed. “You will see the first time he and mom see each other for the first time.”

Beyond their return to television, Todd and Julie say their experience has ignited a passion for prison reform. After witnessing the struggles of their fellow inmates, they are committed to advocating for change. “I’m not walking away,” Todd pledged.

“That’s something a pledge that I’ve made to them and to myself.” With a new show in the works and a desire to be present grandparents, the Chrisleys are charting a new course, one born from crisis and fueled by a daughter’s unwavering devotion.
