What Happened to Cane’s Son Sam on Y&R?
Cane’s return has generated lots of discussion on The Young and the Restless.
Fans are eager to know if he’ll reunite with Lily and if their twins Charlie and Mattie will return. But others are also curious about the whereabouts of Cane’s son, Sam.
Who Is Sam Ashby?
In 2017, during a business trip to Japan, Cane (now Billy Flynn) and his assistant Juliet (Laur Allen) had a drunken one-night stand.
Although he couldn’t remember what happened, Cane tried to hide his indiscretion from Lily (Christel Khalil). Things worsened when Juliet became pregnant and filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Cane.
Lily stood by her husband’s side, but during the trial, video evidence proved Juliet and Cane did have an affair. Lily and Cane separated, and Juliet tried to shift Cane’s focus to her and their unborn baby.
Juliet gave birth to a son, but sadly she died from complications during childbirth. Cane named the boy Sam in honor of his late sister Samantha (Selina MacDonald).
Lily and Cane later reunited, and together they raised baby Sam along with their twins Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexi Stevenson).
Where Is Sam Now?
After Cane and Lily divorced, Sam’s whereabouts became unknown. Sam hasn’t been seen or mentioned since he was an infant.
Like many Y&R children, Sam is probably off at boarding school waiting to come home. So, could Sam be arriving home sooner rather than later?
Cane’s return has many Y&R fans asking if his son will return, too.
There’s been no mention of Sam and it seems there are no plans to bring the boy back. However, Cane could bring Sam back as part of his plan to win back Lily. Since Lily is the only mother figure in Sam’s life, she’ll feel compelled to reunite with Cane.
