Todd, 57, revealed during a press conference on Friday, May 30 that he and his wife, 52, “started filming literally the night that we got home” after being pardoned by President Donald Trump on Tuesday, May 27. Todd was officially released the following day.

“As soon as we got home, so I think with this new series, you will see the first time he and mom see each other for the first time,” the couple’s daughter Savannah Chrisley said at the press conference in Nashville.

PEOPLE announced on May 21 that Lifetime will premiere an all-new docuseries showing how Savannah, 27, Chase Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley, Chloe Chrisley and Nanny Faye Chrisley have navigated the family hardship since Todd and Julie were after they were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022.

“We obviously, we had been filming, and we had just wrapped filming for all intents and purposes and then we get the call that they had been pardoned, so we picked right back up,” Savannah continued.

“And we’re excited because I think this new show is going to give, first off, it’s gonna give people a look in to the trial and things that we went through and we’re gonna set the record straight, put some documents out there.”

The Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast host said the new series will see the Chrisley family come “full circle” and be able to “move forward with our lives” after “Mom and Dad are pardoned.”

“I know for me personally, now is — I get to be a normal 27-year-old, almost 28,” Savannah said. “And so my goal, it’s like, we were talking last time, it’s like I’m traveling to 30 countries by the time I turn 30.”

Savannah also shared that she hopes to work with the Trump administration to “expose the corruption because he has vowed to hold people accountable if there has been abuse and corruption to occur” and “work with some organizations, put bills in front of Congress, especially for women who are incarcerated.”

The reality star said her parents “already got all the offers rolling in” and that viewers will see her dad “on quite a few different shows” down the line.

“It’s gonna make life so much easier,” Savannah added.

Julie was not present at the press conference, as she chose to be home with her youngest daughter, Chloe, 12.

Todd and Julie, who rose to fame on USA Network’s Chrisley Knows Best, were indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2019 on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy, all of which they have denied.

The pair was sentenced to a combined 19 years behind bars (though it was later reduced) and began their prison sentences on Jan. 17, 2023. They were released on Wednesday, May 28, after Trump, 78, granted them full pardons.

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah said in a statement at the time. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”
